Disco party planning please help!!!?!

Question: We are having a huge birthday party for three of us in March. We obviously will have a disco ball on our dance floor and music of course. But aside from all that please help us with more ideas. Would blacklights around our bar be too 80's do you think. Help....

Party favors: Disco ball key chains, mood rings, tie dye T-shirts, anything with a bright yellow smiley face on it. Peace sign necklaces, incense and incense burners, etc.

Music:
Donna Summer - who can forget Hot Stuff and Bad Girls? Kool and the Gang, the Village People, K C and the Sunshine Band, the Commodores, Thelma Houston, Anita Ward, Chic, GQ, Larry Levan, Brothers Johnson, Cheryl Lynn, the Trampps, the Gap Band, Stephanie Mills "Put Your Body In It"... Appeggio, "Love and Desire"... Just remember that having the right music is gonna keep the party alive.

Alcohol infused Punch bowl drinks were popular in the 70's..
sloe gin fizz - sloe gin and 7-up; Southern Comfort and 7-up.... cold glass bottled beer...Singapore Sling, Rob Roy, Dacquiri, Tom Collins, Zombie, Tequila Sunrise, Mai Tai and Stinger.

Finger foods are your best bet for the disco party..how about.. cheese fondue. Stab a piece of bread or a piece of meat with a fondue fork and dip and devour. Otherwise, cold cuts, bread and condiments so that guests can make their own sandwiches. Vegetable trays. Chips and french onion dip. Yep. Just like that. Pizza would be perfect, too. Yes, pizza has been a favorite for many decades now.

what else..Give prizes out to the best dressed guest or couple. Have a disco dance contest or, a lip sync contest.
Rent or buy a karaoke machine and get some disco karaoke cd's that guests can sing.

Enjoy your party!!
