Your question wasn't offensive in any matter. All parties have"themes" to them. is having a Lua offensive to Hawaiians? I have had plenty of Asian themed meals at parties before and do alot of catering for them as well.

Since you want to enjoy the party yourself, I would make a bunch of appetizers and serve them buffet style. Here are some of the things I would put out. I have included the recipes for the skewers and crab rangoons. You can find recipes for the other items on the internet. A good website to find recipes in would be www.recipezaar.com

Mini Eggrolls (shrimp or pork)
Coconut Shrimp
Tempura Shrimp
Crab Rangoons
Asian Beef Skewers.
Asian Style Spare ribs.

Asian Beef Skewers-
3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
3 tablespoons sherry
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 teaspoon barbeque sauce
2 green onions, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger root
1 1/2 pounds flank steak
skewers
In a small bowl, mix together hoisin sauce, sherry, soy sauce, barbeque sauce, green onions, garlic, and ginger.
Cut flank steak across grain on a diagonal into 1/4 inch slices. Place slices in a 1 gallon resealable plastic bag. Pour hoisin sauce mixture over slices, and mix well. Refrigerate 2 hours, or overnight.
Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat. Discard marinade, and thread steak on skewers.
Oil the grill grate. Grill skewers 3 minutes per side, or to desired doneness

Crab Rangoons- Use wonton skins available in produce section of most grocery stores.

8 Ounces Cream Cheese-Softened
8 Ounces Imitation Crab Meat-finely chopped
1/2 Tsp Soy Sauce
1-1/2 Green Onion finely sliced (scallion)
1 Package Wonton Wrappers
Mix together in a bowl the cream cheese, Crab meat, Soy sauce and Green onion.
On a flat surface, lay out a wonton wrapper in front of you so that it forms a diamond shape. Wet the edges of the wonton.
Add a heaping teaspoon of filling to the middle and Fold over the edges of the wrapper so that it forms a triangle shape. Seal the edges, adding more water if needed. Put on platter and cover with a damp dishcloth (to prevent them from drying out) Continue till all wrappers are filled.
Heat wok and add oil for deep-frying. When oil is ready (the temperature should be between 360 - 375 degrees), carefully slide in the Crab Rangoon, taking care not to overcrowd the wok. Deep-fry until they are golden brown, about 3 minutes, turning once. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Cool and serve.
You don't need a sauce with these, but you can buy a bottle of Sweet and Sour sauce in the grocery store and serve alongside them.

You can also serve the above and then put out a few main dishes as well. Good choices would be:

Chicken or Beef with Broccoli
Shrimp Lo Mein
Shrimp Egg Foo Young- Very easy to make
Fried rice

Good Luck!

dim sum

Well, for games maybe you could lay out some math problems, followed by 6 hours of Starcraft. Don't have any physical games, as Asians aren't the greatest athletes. For food I recommend egg rolls, lemon chicken, and some fortune cookies for desert.

Chinese checkers, Chinese food, eat off fancy china, etc.
Stuff from China is really cheap. Just watch out for lead paint.

go to china town they have really ereally kool cheap decorations!!!!!!

or even the dollar store will have some things!

You could order food from a take out restaurant, have it catered. You could make home made eggrolls, rice, chinese fried donuts, crab rangoons. For decorations you could pick up hanging tassles, paper lanterns, chop sticks, paper oriental fans and umbrellas, maybe dress like a geisha?

Texas Holdem, Chess, Monopoly.

Do you have that many Chinese and Japanese friends?

An Asian Party?

That could be interesting, I notice that most people on here have assumed you meant an Oriental Party, but remember an Asian Party can be very versatile and Include the Indian side of the Asian Community.

Lol maybe I am just out of order...but you could try samosas, spring rolls, dim sum, tikka, tea....hope that helps.

There is no limit to the offensiveness of this question.
