If you are in the US, check out Target. They have this little dollar section in the front of the store that is full of cute things that girls love. Hello Kitty stationary, jewelry, scrapbooking supplies, etc.

Michael's-the craft store has bins full of things like this too.

I have two girls, 9 and 6. They love little notebooks, stickers, fancy pens, gummy bracelets, art supplies, cute stuffed animals, purses, scarves, earrings, head bands, sunglasses--- the dollar store might have some cute items also. They also love novelty candy, Baby Bottle Pops, cell phones filled with candy , stuff like that.

Girls are the best!

***I'd stay away from make-up and lotions, etc. Some moms may not allow their girls to have such things. Also, when you by such things from the dollar store the quality is really bad and there is a higher risk of allergic reaction. Just a suggestion.

go 2 the dollar tree and buy some cheep cute things 4 them :D

go to target. they have thier $1.00 section and the dollar store. They like anything for thier hair, nails, bubbles, stuff animals, candy, lips glosses,

go to a dollar store, or a cheep department store (like wal-mart) and look at the cheep-o stuff. frankly a dollar store would be the best, cuz they have cheep stuff that's not that bad of quality, and their 8, so they wont care.

Visit your local Dollar Store - 8 year old girls love to play "dress-up" - you can buy make-up, lotions, smelly soaps, costume jewellery, nail art, nail polish, grooming supplies, hair stuff like scrunchies, etc. Don't forget to pick up cosmetic bags to hold the "loot" at the end of the day.
Then again, you can go the "craft" route and get paints, markers, art paper, etc.
Or, try the toy/game area for jump ropes, jacks, pat-a-ball, colouring books, puzzles, etc.

i would go to the dollar store or walmart and just look around... probably things they could use at school like a cute notebook by lisa frank, color pencils, funky pens and stickers, fun shaped erasers etc. Or maybe cute key chains, bonne bell lip smacker lip gloss in yummy flavors. Maybe arts and craft stuff like packets of beads and string.

When I was a kid my mother did a similar theme for my birthday party. It was a huge success. She made a 'carnival' themed b-day where we set up lots of (easy) obstacles where u earned tickets and traded them in for prizes. She ordered al the prizes through the oriental trading company (http://www.orientaltrading.com) if you check out the prices, they are really cheap for unique little knick knacks.

It is really sweet of you to do this for those little girls. I hope everything turns out great and you guys have lots of fun! :)

My 8 year old loves makeup!!! Walmart has little nailpolishes and lipglosses for like 88cents. The little bon bons I think they are called. Find some costume jewelry on clearance.

All I can do is pray for you

hmm maybe stuff toys, keychains, lip gloss, glitter pens, hair accesories, puzzles, travel games, cartoon stuff. good luck! ;D

absolutely EVERYTHING pink!!
