I am goin to a burns night celebration tonight.......wats this haggis taste like then ????!

Question: For such a mysterious sausage with a wonderful legacy, haggis sort of attacks the palate. Haggis is sausage that contains all of the sheep except for the bleat. It also contains oatmeal and is very spicy from ingredients that I would compare to chinese five spice. A generous portion for most folks would be about three or four fingerbredths. It is a flavor and texture you will never forget.
If any of your fellows know of a source in the U.S. for authentic haggis, please forward it to me.

Fair fa’ your honest, sonsie face,
Great chieftain o’ the pudding-race!
Aboon them a’ yet tak your place,
Painch, tripe, or thairm:
Weel are ye wordy o’a grace
As lang’s my arm.

I think it's know as being an "acquired taste" - mainly oatmeal and offal ! ! !

Like a spicy oatmeal meatball. Have a few drinks first and I'm sure that you will enjoy it. Remember, if you are wearing a kilt, you can't wear any underwear!
