Hmmm...what to to make for dinner when the power goes out?!

Question: Stormy weather and the power is out. Don't want take out. Just a cozy night home with candlight and board games. Need suggestions on what to make for dinner just don't want to do the usual PBJ. Thought about BBQ but not if its too rainy out there.

What do you make to eat when there is no electricity?

What do you make to eat when there is no electricity?

All kinds of stuff---nice salade, veg sushi, shrimp platter, hoagies, (done right), etc......tons of stuff.
for dessert w/ no electricity, hope you have a fireplace----then make toasted marshmallows or S'mores.....

Favorite bread, favorite hard cheese and fresh fruit.

If you like it, Spam & cheese sandwiches & salad.

Peanut butter sandwiches with fruit.

Make something on the stovetop.....as long as it's gas range you can do all sorts of things. Make soup and a salad or fry some eggs and have a breakfast for dinner. Anything really.

get some wine, bread, cheese, and fruit... go french!

Do you have a fireplace? then you could make almost anything.

Also, try sushi, even if it is veggie sushi it would still be fun.

usually dinner reservations....but for at home ideas, i pull out the cheese, crackers and whatever fruit i might have in the fridge...this is fun for kids cuz it's like snacks for dinner. and it it's only you and your spouse, it's very romantic

well....... one time we ate nuts
