I think it's fridays that offers some really good mozzarella sticks that you can stick in the oven. Chicken fingers, potato skins, fries, onion rings, bagel bites, pizza bites, jalepeno poppers

mini quesadillas
buffalo wings
little smokies (found in the deli meat section)
pizza (cut up into small slices)
cheese, crackers
chips, dip
nachos

Clam-Ups

1 can (6 ? ounce) minced clams
2 tbls diced onion
5 tbls butter or margarine, divided
3 ? tsp all purpose flour
? tsp prepared horseradish
? tsp garlic powder
? tsp Worcestershire sauce
Dash salt
9 slices white bread, crusts removed
Paprika

Drain clams, reserving juice: set aside

In a skillet, sauté onion in 1 tbls butter until tender. Stir in flour until blended. Gradually add horseradish, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt and reserved clam juice. Bring to a boil, cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Remove from heat, stir in clams.

Flatten bread with a rolling pin. Melt remaining butter, brush 1 side of each piece of bread.

Spread with clam mixture and roll up, brush with remaining butter. Cut roll into thirds, place on a greased baking sheet and bake at 425 for 5-8 minutes until lightly browned. Serve warm. Makes 27 appetizers.

Can be assembled ahead of time and frozen before baking.

Order your favorite pizzas to eat during the game. And for an after dinner treat, you can buy three of your favorite sugary cereals, then put three cups of each in a large bowl. Mix together well with a wooden spoon, and you got an awesome party mix.

Jalapeno poppers are good. You can buy them pre-made and ready to heat or make your own. Chips and dip like corn chips with salsa or nacho dip and potato chips with onion or ranch dip. Are pretty much standard but might fall into the "messy" category. Nuts and olives. Cheese with crackers. Veggies with dip. Minature sausages either in a sauce or not so messy wrapped up in biscuit dough with a littlemustard & cheese and baked. Pigs in a blanket a fiting for for a fo0tball party. Giant pretzels, mini pizzas. Roll out bread dough and cut circles out with a biscuit cutter. Top with tomato sauce, cheese and an assortment of toppings.

Fried Pickles are wonderful with 1000 island or a horseradish dressing.

Make sub sandwiches on those large loaves of italian/french bread in the bakery area of the grocery store.... Slice them diagonally and serve on a platter....

Serve with chips and dip, veggie tray, and tons of desserts like cookies and brownies....

Yum!

1.) I like what a lot of the people say, but my idea of a great finger sandwich for Super Bowl (and yes I am serving these myself) are mini Reubens

1 loaf part Rye bread
1 pound Thick sliced Corned Beef
1/2 can Saurkraut, drained
1 red onion
1/2 pound block of Swiss Cheese
1/2 bottle of 1000 Island Dressing

Chop meat, saurkraut, cheese and onion in small pieces and place in a bowl with the dressing. stir to combine and then refrigerate for an hour.

Place pieces of rye bread on a cookie sheet and top each with the reuben mixture. Bake at 400 for 15 minutes or until heated through and golden brown on top.

Serve on a large platter with a pile of cocktail napkins. Place boxes wrapped in football themed paper (or team colors) with plastic liners (for garbage) at strategic spots around the room.

2.) Get 2 or 3 packages of all beef franks or lil smokies and a jar of your favorite barbeque sauce.

Place franks and barbeque sauce in a saucepan and then fill and rinse the bottle with water or beer and add to the pan. Turn on medium, cover and let cook for 20 minutes. Uncover and turn to low for 2 hours, or until the sauce thickens. Serve in a chafing dish or fondue pot with toothpicks and napkins on the side.

3.) Deviled eggs
12 hard cooked eggs
1 cup mayo
2 TBSP dry mustard
1 tsp Garlic powder

Slice eggs the long way and remove the yolk to a mixing bowl. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Stuff filling back into egg halves and arrange on a platter. Sprinkle some Paprika on top for garnish and some good color. If you like them sweeter, use some sweet pickle relish in it as well.

4.)Buy mini egg rolls and duck sauce
5.)Chips and dip, veggies and dip

Have fun and go for your favorite team! Rob R
