If we're going to the parades, lots of sandwhiches, especially egg salad or a big box of Popeyes Fried Chicken and Bisquits with all the trimmings.

The most important thing that you need to have for Mardi Gras is King Cake. Order it if you can - it's not too hard to make (it's like a sweet bread or danish) but finding the colored sugars and plastic baby to go inside it might be hard. Other than that some New Orleans style food like shrimp etoufee, jambalaya, gumbo, red beans and rice, and southern food like fried chicken and greens.
