Kobe Beef, is it worth it?!

Question: Is it worth the price? If so, how do you serve it?

I think it kind of depends. A lot more places make a "kobe" beef, but it's not really kobe beef. It's made in america, so it's more like kobe style. It's good beef, but personally I would rather get a high quality local beef. I live in oregon so we have some great locally raised beef here. I don't know if I've ever had the real stuff from japan, but the stuff I have had a restaurants wasn't amazing enough for the price.

If you do decide to get some, you don't want to cook it too much. A very rare steak, or even tar tar or carpaccio would be best. The nice thing about kobe is the marbling of the fat in it, so if you cook it too long you cook all that out and it's pointless.

NEGATIVE.Tastes just the same as a regular steak to me!

I think it is incredible! It is far superior to USDA Prime Beef in my opinion, but it is one of those things that is definitely a personal preference.

NO... JUST USE BALLS

yes it is but you have to go to japan for real kobe beef as anything else is kobe style beef just as you can not get champagne from anywhere but the champagne region in france
