Need ideas for throwing a weiner dog party!?!

Question: My son's one-year birthday coincides with the annual weiner dog races this year. Since we enter our dachshund Napoleon every year, we decided to combine the two events and have a weiner dog themed party after the races. I need fun ideas for decorations, food, etc. (Besides the obvious hot dogs!) Anyone?

have all the food and snacks in dog food bowls- get those at the dollar store. you can even take a marker and write each guests name on a bowl for them instead of a plate.
make corn dogs, little weenies in a crock pot, or hot dogs. make a batch of puppy chow-(but dont' serve to children under 3 due to may trigger allergies to penut butter.)
3/4 cup peanut butter
1 cup chocolate chips
1/4 cup butter
8 cups Crispix cereal
2 cups powdered sugar
Melt the peanut butter, chocolate chips, and butter together. Pour over the cereal in a large kettle or bowl and stir well. Pour the powdered sugar into a large brown paper bag and add the cereal. Fold the bag to seal and shake well to coat evenly.

make dog bone shaped cookies, and dog bone shaped cheese and sausage. make a cake in the shape of a dog house or any dog type shape. (maybe a hot dog shaped cake!) beef jerky
make a cardboard dog house that guests can put his presents inside.have all kinds of doggie toys on the tables as decorations- get those from the dollar store- plus extra gift for your dog after the party! make paw prints out of paper and place on the sidewalk leading to the party- up the stairs- around the house- where ever you want! use newspaper as tablecloths on tables. decorate with streamers and balloons- find doggie type balloons- maybe red streamers and balloons. you can stick stuffed dogs around the room as well.
use doggie bags from a restaurant for gift baggies for guests.

Piggies in a blanket, or cocktail dogs in some sort of BBQ or other sauce. You could do a fireman's theme since the decorations would include fire hydrants.
