Chocolate wedding desserts?!

Question: Originally we were going to have a chocolate fountain at our wedding (only 34 guests). After purchasing said fountain and trying it out at a small dinner party we decided against the idea. We tried to find someone to cater the fountain in our area but we havent found one. So, as a second option we have decided to do a Chocolate dessert buffet. I would like to have approx. 6-8 different things to serve on this buffet. We will be providing take home boxes for our guests to leave with, this will serve as a favor as well. Any suggestions for chocolate desserts that can be possibly made up a few days ahead?

First of all, can I come? But seriously, thats such a great idea. I suggest a type of brownie, mini chocolate cheesecake bites, Rasberry chocolate cake, strawberries dipped in chocolate(or even fondue!), chocolate mousse or pudding, chocolate chunk cookies or cookie bars. Chocolate Cheesecake & fudge.....YUM

cant go wrong wrong with simple little things. belgian chocolates. roses. quality streets. truffles and brownies, its usually the simple things that make life great, hope i helped.

I was going to suggest strawberries but they need to be done on the day of not a couple days ahead....you could do some yummy brownies and use a soft sprinkle of powdered sugar...I'm not much help...I'm not into chocolate so don't prepare many items...I'd try googling chocolate favors. Happy Wedding! Congratulations!

Brownies, fudge, Death by Chocolate cake. You can also add to it with some store bought items like Lindt truffles, hershey kisses- I'd definitely get some extra bags right now of the pastel m&ms for Valentines. Those would be great in a serving dish- or you could use as decorations on a cake.

Hey... congratulation to your upcoming wedding.

Try chocolate mousse cups or Brownie Pies. Magic Bar cookies are good too.

Chocolate dipped stawberries and dried apricots are always nice. If you have a double bowler, you can use that or just boil some water in a pot and place a larger metal bowl or pot on top. Break up some good quality chocolate and add about a teaspoon of vegetable oil for sheen. Melt until smooth and dip your fruit. Place on waxed paper covered cookie sheets and refrigerate until firm. You can get creative and dip things like pretzels, cookies and marshmallows. Good luck!

Have fun

My brother-in-law just had one. The peanut butter filled chocolates and truffles were nice. He had m and m's too-I would opt out of the tradional ones and go to www.jellybelly.com and get their gourmet m and m's there incredible with all different kinds of flavors. How about some solid chocolate squares in milk chocolate and dark chocolate from a reputable confectioner.

A wedding should have elegant items such as chocolate dipped cookies. You can buy butter cookies to dip yourself for one item. You can also bake the cookies and dip them and they can really be any type of cookie, oreos, chocolate chip work fine also. I would also like to see fudge which is super easy to make but tastes like it took forever. Chocolate covered Rice Krispie Treats are WONDERFUL and super easy. Chocolate covered cherries can be made ahead. Truffles are easy too. See www.food.com for recipes.
