Minoxidil for thinning hair, Geritol & Viagra.

I think they'd love to get "penny" candy or chocolate that they ate in their childhood - Popeye "stick candy", candy necklace, wax lips, juice filled wax cigars, Cherry Blossoms, Spearmint Leaves, Black Cat gum, Cloves gum, Fruit Stripe gum, etc.

Also, some of the remedies they'll be using more of from here on in ... Grecian Formula, Pepto Bismol, Ginko (for memory), etc. Then there are general things like a jar opener, a cane, magnifying glasses or a magnifying sheet to lay over phone book pages, playing card holder, and a beeping keyring so keys won't be lost again.

When my boss celebrated his 50th birthday, I took an empty pill bottle, made up a fake label and filled the bottle with a bunch of blue candy-coated chocolate candy (ala Viagra). Of course, he took it in the good humour with which it was intended. If your friend is a woman, you might include a small bottle of KY, a battery operated fan (for hot flashes), some dark chocolate for those cravings, and a nice knitted shawl.

Extra extra large playing cards, anti-aging soap, daily decision dice, fortune cookies, false teeth
