How to freeze clear ice for a martini luge?!

Question: I am planning a dinner party and would like to make a martini luge, for fun. I have a large chest freezer but I think there must be a trick to freezing ice "clear" instead of milky with bubbles as is usually the case with homemade blocks of ice. Any suggestions?

Use hot water...here is the link telling you exactly how to do it.... http://www.instructables.com/id/make-cry...

Hope your party is a blast!!

Call the guy who makes the Baileys commercials...

hi, firstly you boil your water, let it cool down then put into your ice cube box , boiling the water gets rid of the impurities and gives you clear ice cubes cheers enjoy your party

I heard if you use distilled water you will have clear ice, it is the impurities that cause the ice to be cloudy.I have not tried it myself though.

Closest you can get:
http://www.edgerton.org/resources/kidsco...

you need distilled water!

the cloud in the middle is the minerals in the water, they are the last thing to freeze so they set in the middle!

if you cant get distilled water you can try boiling it first, that might help!
or you can find a way to vibrate the water as it freezes to mix the minerals around so they cant set in the centre (but thats a tough one to pull)

idk ask ure mom

boil the water first and filter it then you have got rid of any impurity,s all so is how fast you can freeze them
