What to cook?!

Question: Please, I'm suppose to cook dinner tomorrow for an old friend (who is a chef) and I can't make up my mind on what to serve? Someting traditional (British) that I might be able to come away with (not too difficult) Please help!

You should cook whatever is your speciality. Something that you love and think no one else on the planet makes it as good as you do. That is the meal you should make for your chef friend. The love of cooking always shows.

Keep it simple. Get a recipe book or get something off the internet. Jamie Oliver dishes are pretty good and they're quite easy. You can do it!

My favourtite is boursin pasta boil pasta fry mushrooms and bacon and in a saucepan melt a whole tub of boursin and 1/4 single cream serve with cheesy tear and share bread and a bottle of white ummmmm delicious

the trick is to keep it simple and not pannic something like a good old chicken dish or maybe an home made curry

a roast or sausage and mash

Chips and egg, cant go wrong!

Pork chops (about 20-25 Min's in oven@180c) potatoes (boiled) veg Steamed or boiled, stuffing and apple sauce. Jam sponge : 6oz butter 6 oz sugar 6oz flour 3 eggs, cream butter and sugar together. Then add half your four, gradually add beaten eggs, then gently fold in rest of your flour. split between 2 7 inch cake tins (round) bake @ 180 c for 20-25 Min's till lightly golden and firm to touch. Turn out when cool and sandwich together with jam. Could serve sponge with custard.

Go for the easy! Do a roast with Vegatables and Potatoes.

I wouldn't want to cook for a chef. I would take him/her out instead....
