Which ones should I serve tomorrow?!

Question: I'm having a handful of people over tomorrow for the Superbowl (6 or so) and have a few menu ideas. I'm afraid if I make it all it may be WAY too much food. What do you think?
* "pigs in a blanket"- mini hot dogs wrapped in puff pastry
* mini burgers- home made
* buffalo wings
* meatballs in bbq sauce
* artichoke dip and chips

Too much? Just enough? Maybe not the classiest of menus, but hey, it's the Superbowl!

I think you have the right amount of food and right kind of food.
Great for SuperBowl! Everyone can pile up a little bit of everything on their plate.And everything sounds mouth-watering (yummy) to me!

P.S Hope the team your going for wins!

i like mini burgers. or you could serve two different things just in case someone doesn't like one thing then they could have the other thing

YES:
chips and dip
buffalo wings
mini burgers

NO:
mini hot dogs
meatballs

make sure you have plenty of the chips and dip, and SODA!

i like your idea... but i would probably scratch the pigs in the blanket.... just cause the pastry fills people up really fast... so after that they might not want anything else...

artichoke dip sounds so good though, i think i might make some now lol

No, that's quite sufficient and classic.

love it but change the dip not something everything will like

I would say that is enough variety. May I join you??

just enough dont go crazy

Great menu, I love it.

normally when catering an event you should pick 3 things and make enough of those. Too many choices can bog people down. I think all of your ideas sound good for a football party, but do u really need meat balls and burgers. Just try to make it simple on yourself so you can have fun at your party.

make the mini-burgers, buffalo wings and artichoke dip and chips or veggies in case anyone is vegetarian

Don't make huge amounts and you won't have lots of left overs. I think it sounds like a fun menu - though would probably cut the meatballs since you are having the wings (or reverse it and cut the wings). Maybe add some veggies and a ranch dip to replace the one item so you get some "filler" in there.

Doesn't need to be classy for the Super Bowl ... just easy to eat! :)

thats perfect....maybe some beer battered chips too(thick cut french fries)...you can buy them from the supermarket. oven bake them.

whats a superbowl...:P

I'd say it's good to have maybe 3 options or so, because you're going to want something to have out when people come over - which maybe even a little before the game- something they can snack on while they watch, and then something for half time when people are hanging out talking, etc. I think the chips and dip are probably the best for during the game, so maybe pick two other things and have one ready for half time. That's what I am trying to do. I'm going to have stuffed peppers and mini meatballs for the beginning of the event, and then chips and dips out the whole time, and I'll have chicken wings ready for half time.

You should do the artichoke dip with chips, but get some more dip like salsa and guacamole dip. And buffalo wins. That should be enough. That's pretty much what I am doing for the Superbowl.

Its a variety and I feel you will be fine. If there are leftovers, have them take some home. There will only be two of us, but I am still having hot wings, ribs, pepperoni & cheese bread, bean dip, salsa & cheese dip, and salad or potato casserole. Brownies w/vanilla ice cream and cheesecake. My son is 16, he will eat the leftovers the next day with no problem!

uhm. yea that definatly sounds like enough. for only 6. as long as you dont make like 500 of each it should be good
try like
* if they are mini hot dogs..about 10 or 15 of them
* probably only one each for the burgers? and maybe a few extra
*buffalo wings big superbowl food. anywhere from 15-25 depending on how big they are and how many people like them a lot.
*same for meatballs as many or few as you want depending again on size and how many people like them and what not.
*a lot

idk if thats exactly what you wanted but sure why not. but then again my family likes food a lot so this may be too much
hah yea.

I would do the burgers, that way people can put there own toppings on have a few spread out bacon, cheese, onions and other condiments, the buffalo wings are a must and as well as the chips and dip I would not have meatballs or pigs in a blanket may be too much instead have a veggie platter and fruit tray and of course all the rest have fun!

I think I'd do either the pigs in a blanket OR the mini hamburgers. You've got a lot of meat going on already.

And I think you need something else w/o meat. Potato chips/dip, cheese spread on crackers, or maybe something sweet.

Also consider saving one or two items to bring out at the start of the 3rd quarter, so the food doesn't get old and boring.

I think it may be too much..
I think you came up with a nice selection, but like you said not the classiest of menus, but men don't care !!

I would keep everything except for the pigs in a blanket because they are filling and they already are kind of like the mini burgers..
Keep everything else, though..

Good Luck :)
