Sweet 16 moulin rouge party help?!?!

Question: So I have now decided for my sweet 16 that the party theme is going to be moulin rouge. We're having the party in a hotel suite and my questions are ...

- How do I make cool invitations
- How should I decorate the room (ideas etc)
- What to wear?
- What kinds of snacks?
- Cake ideas?

I have the movie and seen it but I want other people's input to make my party alot more fun than it should be. So any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Sounds to be fun. I would love to decorate such set:) .
-For invitations just play with the design with classic style.Dress up in a bright long dress and take a picture with drapes background and print card of that picture.
designs
-Bright colours like purple, bright Maroon lots of long drapes. You can go to Jo Ann fabrics. Or if you have Indian friend may lead to a place for some material like saries.
Indian out fit "Langhas" or bright gown would be something can be worn.
-Snack can be kept as choice add some Margi pans, chocolate for sweets.
Cake should be what you like. Black forest comes to mind with cherries and chocolate.

There are a few items that will make the theme more "real".
1. Need something that resembles the windmill (That is the real Moulin Rouge's trademark).
2. For guys, have them wear Top Hats. Girls can too!
3. There was an artist that did posters of the original Moulin Rouge. His name was Toulouse Lautrec. Maybe you can use those for something.
4. Can-can dancers!
