Buffet foods for a party of 6 yr olds!!?!
Answers: any ideas for party food for 6 yr olds?? im new to this
How about a hotdog or taco bar for dinner and a build your own sundae bar for dessert.

I have 10 children, these are a few family faves
....Mini burgers....small patties on dinner rolls....sans any yucky stuff like pickles,
Little smoked sausages wrapped on a biscuit ,you can use just half a refrigerator biscuit per.(crescent rolls also work. )
Kiddies spaghetti (a bit messy but a crowd pleaser) shaped pasta like circles or alphabets.cook as directed.drain and add to tomato soup....the less expensive brands work best of this.
Toss 4 cups cheerios with 1/2 cup melted butter....lay out on baking pan and sprinkle with parm cheese bake at 350 for 5-7 mins.
I have twins who love big parties. I usually go for easy cleaner food, like pizza which most kids like, then make some sugar cookies for the kids to decorate, then throw out a fruit tray and some chips. Lots of food and choices means lots of mess! Keep it simple for your sake!!
dont go all extravignet...do it simple. go with stuff like hot dogs or tacos...do chips and dip...then u could do like a fruit platter for them....dont go all junk food...do some healthy...good luck! u r braver then me!
Peanut butter and jelly, made fairly dryly and cut into shapes with cookie cutters,or cheese sandwiches, or delli meat stuck together with yellow mustard or something, treated the same way, many types of seedless grapes mixed together with maybe some mandarian oranges(well drained),
healthier chips or pretzels or something like Trader Joes Peanut Butter filled pretzels, small cookies, small cupcakes with minimal icing.....enjoy! Parties for children are way fun!
Someone else suggested the "make your own sundae" bar as a dessert and I would definately second that idea. If it's too cold for that in your area another yummy idea is a "decorate you own cupcake" bar. Just bake the cupcakes before the kids arrive and set up a table with different colored frostings and toppings. I have had a party for 3-6 yr olds and they all loved that.
