If my friends throw me a surprise party is it ok to go to bed before they leave?!

Question: My friends hosted a surprise party because I recently found out that I was pregnant. I was in no mood to celebrate so I went to bed about 10 minutes after they all yelled surprise.

No, its not rude because your true friends will understand. Now if it were friends that you are not really close to personally, then they are the ones being rude, even though it was done from the bottom of their hearts.

No, it's not really OK. Even if you did not want the party, you should have endured it and put on a good show to make your the people who care about you feel good. Even if they made a mistake in judgment, it's not worth making a lot of people feel terrible. I think you owe them an apology. Just claim hormones.

haha not really. but it's ok cause you were pregnant

definitely not but seeing how you are pregnant you can use the excuse of hormones

You poor thing. LOL

My dad always did that, even when he knew about the party. At 2AM once, he said to a party at our house, "I am going to bed now! Good Night, and would the last one out please lock the door!" Mom stayed up to lock up.

If you really were not feeling well, then you are totally excused. I am not sure if "not in the mood" is an acceptable excuse, but it is done now....just tell them you were not feeling well.

Definately a little bit rude.

Hopefully you will deal with the surprise of being inconvenienced by a baby in the early hours of the morning with a bit more tolerance. Not being in the mood won't be an option.

On the other hand if this is an unwanted pregnancy, well perhaps your friends need to be a bit more thoughtful.

well... no cuz it is kind of being rude i think you should wait until everybody is gone
