HELL YES IT'S GREAT! It's great because its simplicity/genius is astounding. Plus it kills two birds with one stone; it satisfies the dairy AND carb req for the day! And I don't know anyone who dosen't love cheese or pasta!

It's my daughter's favorite food, and has been for years. Try it, you'll like it!

It is so yummy, because I make the best, and I make it from scratch.

Very delicious and fattening.
Creamy, not hard to chew, has milk products and they are good for you.

Its good, because its cheezy baby!

Sinfully good! If it's made right! It's all the smooth creamy lip smackin cheese on the tongue that is just so wrong!
Make Ya Slap Ya Pappy Mac & Cheese
2 pounds large elbow macaroni
12 eggs
1 cup cubed Velveeta cheese
1/2 pound (2 sticks) butter, melted
6 cups half-and-half, divided
4 cups grated sharp yellow Cheddar, divided
2 cups grated extra-sharp white Cheddar
1 1/2 cups grated mozzarella
1 cup grated Asiago
1 cup grated Gruyere
1 cup grated Monterey Jack
1 cup grated Muenster
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon black pepper
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F. Bring a large saucepan of salted water to a boil. Add the macaroni and cook until slightly al dente, about 10 minutes. Drain and set aside to keep warm.
Whisk the eggs in a large bowl until frothy.
Add the Velveeta, butter and 2 cups of the half-and-half to the large bowl of eggs. Add the warm macaroni tossing until the cheese has melted and the mixture is smooth. Add the remaining half-and-half, 3 cups of the sharp yellow Cheddar, the remaining grated cheeses, and salt and pepper, tossing until completely combined in the large bowl.
Pour the mixture into 9 by 13-inch casserole or baking dishes (approximately 3 (3-quart) baking dishes) and bake for 30 minutes. Sprinkle with the remaining 1 cup of sharp yellow cheese and bake until golden brown on top, about 30 minutes more.

Its tends to be a comfort food, cheese and pasta (who doesnt love that creamy pasta classic), Omg its pretty shocking to find out that somebody out there has never just tasted mac and cheese

MMMmmmMMMmmmMMMmmmMMMmmmMMMmmmMM!

GASP! ur kiding right?

MMMmmmMMMmmmMMMmmmMMMmmmMMMmmmMM!

I LOVE mac and cheese!
Well, every since I was little I have loved cheese and the first time I tried it I loved it. I think the taste of noodles and creamy cheese is delicious.

Its all a matter of taste. It is only good if you like cheese. For me, I can't stand the boxed type, but I love my homemade baked macaroni and cheese (and so does my family) Lots of creamy, melted sharp cheddar mixed with smooth sour cream and mellow monterey jack.... yummmmmm, I think I'll make some tomorrow!!!

it's good and was my favorite food growing up but at 25 my stomach can't take it anymore (it gives me liquid shits and I'm not even lactose intolerant) I still eat it though! haha

I used to have it a lot when I was younger. I don't eat it as much now. It's good once in a while.

Depends on if you are dieting or storing up energy. Carbs are fattening but many athletes eat it the night before for energy.

It's the cheesiest cuz I've got the mac and cheese blues
*gag*

It's REALLY good and cheesy- my favorite are the kraft spirals- they r pretty good :)

Yes, it is!

Because it has this milky cheesey sauce with elbow or shell noodles.

And when you bite into it, the flavor just explodes in your mouth.

You should try it; it's fantastic!

Mac and cheese good. It's like...comfort food, easy to make and delicious. It's very cheesy and...just delicious. It's like one of those food where you can only have a good amount, if you eat too much of it...it becomes yucky. :)

has to be one of the best comfort foods out there.
If your feeling down in dumps, a bowl of Mac and cheese will cheer you up.

it is great food you should try it you will love it!!!it is one of my favorites snacks. it is good and cheesy, it is good!!!!! =) :)

Mac and Cheese may just be the greatest Comfort Food ever imagined by god or man.

The reason why is found in my definition above: Comfort Food. It is comforting and ever so tasty.

Plus, you can do things to it like add a can of (dolphin safe) tuna to it to make it Tuna Casserol. (me, I like to add some French Fried onoins on the top and throw it in the oven @ 350 for about 20 minutes if I take that route!)

In short: anyone who doesn't love Mac 'n' Cheese has no Soul and I despair for them.

*sob*

it is so good everybody loves it

Very yummy when you like that sort of thing. It opens up the taste buds and makes them smile with delight.

Yes Mac and Cheese is wonderful and easy to make.
Not many recipes popped up in the answers so I will share mine. This makes enough for 4 for 2 nights....or can freeze it for another time.
(This is the method that always turns out good....My Trial and error with using Cheddar Cheese....turned into a stringy mess)
I don't measure...so these are approximate...you cant really make a mistake...Unless you leave out the cheese.....LOL
In large pot boil the macaroni ......
12oz pkg Elbow Macaroni
Make per the directions...and Drain in a colander and put back in the pan.....Set it on the stove...over low to med heat.
Drop in 1cube Butter..cut in chunks (cut up while mac is boiling)
Salt and Pepper to taste...Easy on salt, can add that at the table...I put about 1/2 tsp of pepper in the pot.
1 lb Velveeta Cheese cut up in chunks....(I cut it up while the mac is boiling) Drop that in the pot (sometimes I add 1 1/2 lbs.....I always buy the 2 lb box)
1 can Evaporated Milk (canned milk) Not the Sweet one
And stir it all up until creamy....if it gets thick I thin it down with little bits of milk....stir it up and see....add more as you stir, should be creamy and not sticky or dry....
That is it....Simple and very good.....I have served this for a bzillion years to my family and they always go back for seconds....It isn't complicated.......Try it sometime....

i dont like it

great

It's very good! Especially the soul food baked version.
