Give each other make-overs! Drink drinks with frilly decorations! Wear silly hats! Go thrifting! Have everyone bring ingredients and see who can come up with the best dish.

you can have one of those naughty party people come to your house to sell naughty items- those are fun for a ladies get-together- like Passion Parties or Pure Romance.
have a belly dancer or pole dance instuctor come to the house and give a lesson.
maybe a tarrot card reader to give fortunes.
how about a spa party with at home facial treatements and nails.
play a fun borad game or truth or dare to bring you back to your younger days of playing games!

Well I threw my mom a THIS IS YOUR LIFE party I got this idea of a very cool website http://www.stretcher.com/stories/981022a...
this is the idea i went by :

This Is Your Life

Instead of having an "over the hill" party, I suggest having a "this is your life party." Along with the invitation ask your guests to return a questionaire in which you have asked some variation of the following:

My favorite thing about Fred (use guest of honors name) is ______________.

The funniest thing I ever saw Fred do was when he _________________.

The happiest I ever saw Fred was when he____________________.

The dumbest thing I ever saw Fred do was____________________.

Fred drives me crazy when he _______________.

My most memorable moment with Fred was ____________________.

List five words that describe Fred.
You may to make up your own questions or add to these. You may also want to ask the party guests to share a favorite photo of or story about the guest of honor. The hardest part is deciding how to share this information with guests. You may want to have them put these answers on video, have a slide show, have the party guests read the stories or quips out loud, or invite several special people to tell their stories. If you feel awkward acting as an MC, then ask a good friend or minister to do it for you. Make sure you allow yourself plenty of time for planning .

The best part of a party like this is that everyone can participate - children, grandchildren, parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, old friends, new friends and spouses. You can also put the answers, stories, and photos in a scrapbook for the guest of honor to keep.

You will have some laughs and you may even shed a tear or two, because memories are a truly special gift which make getting older worth it.

This was nice and sentimental my mom cried of joy But after all the sentimental STUFFFF!!!!
I GOT HER AN AWSOME STRIPPER TO COME DANCE FOR HER AND HER GUESTS!!! ( She is very serious But i figured what else could she do but enjoy!!!! ) JAJAJAJAJAJAJA She did not know what to do!!! But everyone had so much fun with her reaction that it was all worth it. I did risk my mother killing me for that last stunt!!! But I got a thank you and how much she enjoyed my craziness she said she had the best birthday ever!

These ideas already sound like a "Hoot"! For food, I would just do a finger food / horsdevours, wine...and cake of course.

Decorate with candle lighting and have soft music in the background. Let everyone chip in and give the B'Day girl a Massage, and or a Facial. You could even have a group make up party and hair styles too. Everyone will feel better, look better and have lots of fun.

You may have friends that know someone who would donate their time and services or at least get a group rate and let the other guest chip in rather than bringing individual gifts.

Also, a lingerie party with candle lights and wine and cheese is always fun. Each guest could bring a inexpensive gift of lingerie, perfume or make up. If you have any brave souls, you could even have some of you model the lingerie. Not only will there be plenty of laughs, it will make them feel younger.

Or you could modify and combine the two for even more fun and relaxation..

Dont forget a Photo Board with all those embarrassing photos from 30 years ago!
