I'm doing a sweet 16 birthday party and I really need a theme! Can anyone help me?!
Answers: I’m having a sweet 16 and I just need some theme ideas! I have a few but I’m not sure. My sweet 16 will be on June 27, 2008. Also I do need help with finding my dress if anyone can give me some good websites then that will be great too! Thanks!!
you could do a black and white theme. everyone coming would be expected to wear black and white, and then you wear a different color. everything at the party (decorations and stuff) would be in black and white.
you could do a (your favorite color) theme. nobody will be allowed to wear (your favorite color) except for you. coordinate everything in your favorite color (tablecloths, decorations, etc).
you could do a hawaiian theme. everyone coming would be expected to dress hawaiian (leis, grass skirts, etc). decorate with fake palm trees and stuff.
you could do a (your favorite season theme). everyone coming would be expected to wear colors based on the season. for summer, you could have people dress in bright, fun colors. for fall, you could have everyone dress in reds, oranges, and browns. for spring, you could have everyone wear pinks, and pastel colors. for winter, you could have everyone wear whites and blues. everything for decorations would go with the season (fake leaves for fall, etc).
you could do a red carpet theme. guests coming would be expected to dress somewhat up. then you could have a red carpet at the entrance to your party. guests would get a photo snapped of them and then be allowed to enter. you could give out their photos in thank you cards. for decorations, think hollywood.
for dresses, it all depends on the theme. you could try jcpenney, macy's, nordstrom, etc.

my sister had a black and white party everyone had to wear black or white and all of the food was like black and white and they played like poker and danced. They had like plain balck and white table clothes (simple) and it was like a semi formal kind of dance party but there were tables set up in the corners for cards or just hanging out (my sister did cards b/c she was obsessed with poker at the time and it kinda fit the theme...) hope it helped
pimps and hoes. guys dress as pimps and girls dress sexy. It doesn't have to be slutty. Make it classy. Or do a luau. Hawaiian theme cause its in June.

What are some of your favorite things? Maybe you can go around a favorite story or something fancy if you think you're friends will dress up. As far as dresses, I think you should shop around anywhere to get ideas and then maybe get someone to dress up a plain dress for you or make it for you. Sometimes it's better this way since they will measure you up for one to your body type. Have a great time working out the details!
A Hollywood theme would be interesting and fun to plan! if you are into that kind of thing you could send invitaions that look like movie tickets and have a red carpet and different things like that!
