I have 80s parties every year with my friends- it is SO MUCH FUN!!!
find some posters of 80s hip hop bands to hang up on the walls, decorate with neon balloons, streamers, table covers- play all 80s music (I found good deals on CDs on ebay otherwise best buy has mixed Cds too)- have a breakdance competition special prize for the winner- special prize for best dressed have all the guests vote (amke it like a 80s movie, maybe something relating to music of that time like Purple Rain)- we play 80s trivia at my parties, you could make up questions relating to hip hop of the 80s or go pick up the 80s Trivial Persuit game(email me your direct email if you'd like the copies of the ones I've used before)
You could do a "rock n roll hairstyles" theme. All the big hair and the music!
Well some hip hop artist from the 80's that were hot were LL Cool J, Run DMC, MClyte, etc, on the invite tell your guest your looking for the best LL Cool J or Run DMC and a winner will be selected so come dressed and ready! This sounds like a cool party!
Definately have all your friends to wear an 80's outfit. Wig, neon colors clothing, leggings, tights etc....
