College party theme ideas?!

Question: my fraternaty hasnt been able to have a real party for two years. it took a lot of hard work but we convinced the school asministration to let us have a party. that being said we want to have a theme party, but we want it to be an easy theme. it cant require a lot of dressing up or preparation from guests, since they havent been to our house in a while and probably wouldnt get too involved. we also dont want anything tired and gay like heaven and hell, marti gras, toga, golf pros tennis hoes, or decade theme. any ideas?

Well, you could have a "white" party like Diddy threw a while back. Only requirement is everyone had to wear white - from head to toe. (of course, it can be any color you choose).

Another easy theme would be to have the guests dress like the opposite sex.

You could also have a pajama party - just specify that you don't want people to wear anything too scandalous.

I'm not sure where you live, but if it's warm enough, go for a tropical theme. Grass skirts, Hawaiian shirts, leis, sandals - the works. {Even if you are in a chilly climate, this could be just the right party to get people geared up for spring break.}

Good luck!

Since you have not had a party in a while well 2 yrs just go with the theme of the college. Just make it casual and just send out a lot of invitations and get it going through word of mouth which seems to get it around the quickest the school admin. has finally let you have a party dont stress too much and just set up a lil something.

Beer Pong: The Beer Pong theme has been around for quite some time and throughout the country there are beer pong contests that occur annually. The set-up for the party requires long tables or several ping pong tables. I would recommend getting some long fold-up tables from your friends if you don't have that many just to save a lot of money on the party. Of course, you will need to by a ton of beer and big red cups that are sold at almost any convenience store. A great idea to do is to have a giant piece of construction paper and create a bracket of teams competing against each other, similar to the NCAA tournament in college basketball. The better and fiercer that the competition gets the more interesting and lively the party will get. Beer pong can be an intense game and people love to play it, especially college students. I would recommend buying a couple of kegs for the party, depending on how many people you are expecting to come.

Just make sure somebody calls the cops. I mean nothing serious, but make it loud enough that one of the neighbors will get mad. If you know somebody that has a decent band, usually they will play just to be able to play. Lot's of booze and maybee a couple of underage girls, and of course a lot of pot; but you have to hide them when the cops come by. The college wil not let you throw another party for another two years, but people will remember it.

seriously though...toga parties...are always always always good times...alcohol or not...and since it's your first party in a while it would be good to throw it back old school.

another option is $5 costumes, you have to come dressed up but you can't have spent more then $5 on it...people get pretty creative.

Well, since you haven't been able to have a party for 2 years, must have been a great frat once : ) How about "We never missed a minute"? Play the number #1 song on the Billboard charts for every week for the past two years. Give something back (your college will love this [I am a college administrator so I know this] I am sure). It depends on where you live. Perhaps have your guests donate an old cellphone to the soldiers instead of a cover charge, or pay $5 to participate in a game tournament (game up to you) - split the proceeds between the winner and your charity of choice that is culturally relavent from the past 2 years, you get the point.

Jocks and cheerleaders...??? I also like the "white" party idea as well.

Full Moon Party?

Basically play reggae and rave music..supply glow sticks and ask people to dress in neon with body paint . It's pretty easy to do as most people have something bright in their wardrobe..or can easily buy something on the cheap.
