Any good ideas out there for my 4 year old boy's birthday party with a small handful of friends?!

Question: If you're going for a home party... why not let the kids make their own pizzas using french bread for the crust and let them top it... put it in the oven at 400 for about 10 minutes..watch you don't burn them... then for dessert, buy icecream and supply maybe toppings and they can make their own sundaes. this will keep them all in one place and having fun. you could also add a simple craft, like a paperbag puppet they could take home to remember the party.

Do you have a Peace a Pizza around you? You can have pizza parties there, my son just went to one and had a blast making his own pizza and his own cookie.

If there is a petting zoo nearby.. take them to the petting zoo. Unless you are part of a farming community or something in which case the animals will seem very boring to the children.

Take them to asda and get them tp play "put what I tell you in your pockets"

Get some bubble bath and an outdoor kiddie pool! If there are boys you gotta get them moving and they will be more happy about that. Maybe even a campfire if its a sleepover gig

If it will be dry and warm enough out rent a medium size Bounce house and have a barbecue - fun and you can keep the party going for more than 2.5 hours like many "party sites". If it is cold and wet get an indoor bouncer (Jump-O-Lene) at Toys R Us order pizza and rent a favorite movie. If you want to try something at a local venue check for a roller rink, ice rink or bowling alley (they can put in bumpers) that way the kids burn off the energy and have loads of fun. Good Luck!

mega quest or chuck e cheese or just a Lil house get together with Lil kids and parties bag for the kids

little sausage rolls,or little cocktail sausages, tiny triangular sandwiches with cheese or that wafer thin ham ,jaffa cakes , party ring biscuits, & crisp sticks ,rings etc.All standard stuff we have used over the years. You can also buy cheese & tomato pizza & cut it up small. Jelly & ice cream is a great pud.
This is all party food on a budget, & had always gone down well; hope you were not hoping for carrot sticks & apple slices, though ,cos this will not help-sorry !!

My children both told me that the best parties they have had and their friends enjoyed the most, were the old fahioned tea parties with jelly, sanies, cakes etc, followed by games such as pass the parcel, musical statues, pin the tail on the donkey etc. This kind of party is much cheaper than taking even a handful of children somewhere. You might even be able to budget for a small token gift for each child to take home as a reminder of a fun time.

chukie cheese!
fun place for a kid..or go see a movie, or go bowling

I haven't sorry.

But "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" to your son...............xxxxxxxxxxx

Have a lovely party whatever you do.
