I am trying to find a way to transport ice cream cone cupcakes to my son's school for his classroom party???!
Answers: I am making ice cream cone cupcakes for my son for his school birthday party and I have no idea how to get 20 of them to the school. I am looking to see of anybody has run into this dilemma before and may offer some, or even one, solution. I want to have the ice cream cone cupcakes frosted and sprinkled before I leave my house, but how do I do this without ruining them??
If you have a cardboard box......cup holes into the bottom part of the box and stand it upside down.......place the cupcakes into each hole, flatten the flaps [4] that normally close the box and place on a large towel or something secure to keep the box from shifting as you drive.
Fold the flaps inside when you arrive, and carry the box like a tray. Hope this helps.
You might look into getting some dry ice and trying that....
easy. u noe the ice cream man? u go find one ice cream man and den tell him u want to transport ur icecream.pay him $$$ and den ta-da!ice cream transported.not very expensive one. about $10 only. beta den the ice cream all melt, right?
A compact transportable ice-box / cooler (esky) should do the trick.
You can then re-use it in the future for picnics and such like.
I brought one ten years ago for $40 and it is still going strong.
Otherwise, how about having a word with the teachers/dinner ladies, and store the ingredients at the school. Then go into the school the morning of the party and put everything together on the spot.
Then take or arrange for someone to take the ice cream cone cupcakes into the classroom for the party.
.
Personally you either need to motify a box to fit then tightly in so they don't move around or go early and frost and sprinkle them there.
decorate them put them on a large cookie sheet, stick them in freeze for a little while longer, place them in a box on the back seat of car and go straight to your sons school.
When I make these I take a cookie sheet with short sides or muffin tins work too. Make a thick buttercream frosting with a decorator tip make a circle the size of a dime and stick the cone on top of it the frosting bonds the cone to the pan, it works great. then i just place a box over the top or cover with saran wrap. you can also place them in the freezer for a few minutes to harden the frosting slightly.
You can try paritially freezing them so the icing won't be messed up when they are covered for transport.
