Any party food ideas for a pregnant woman?!
There will be around 30 guests including some under 7's (so i need foods that will be suitable for them) however no-one coming to the party has any special dietary requirements (apart from me being pregnant).
I also want foods that are simple to prepare and suitable for a buffet style meal (both hot and cold foods) and also some fun non-alcoholic drinks i could serve (eg - punches).
Thank you in advance for all of your suggestions.

You should have a huge fruit platter. You can have bright gorgeous fruit, everyone will love it. Ideas are pineapple, mango, pomegranite, grapes, strawberries, watermelon, kiwi, oranges etc. Bright, colourful, refreshing and healthy enough that everyone could have some :-)
devilled eggs, chicken drumsticks, sandwhiches, mini sausage rolls, cold meat platter, large bowl of salad/potatoe salad/ coleslaw, fairy cakes
How about a selection of sandwiches, cold meats, salad, a few crisps and cocktail sausages, pickles, jelly for children and cheesecake for grown ups.
If I were you I'd eat one of everything. You never know. Your baby might want to sample each one.
Maybe soda or juice esp. for the kids
get the recipes for some neat non-alcoholic drinks, for example get what might have been an alcoholic beverage but make it virgin for everybody
my fav. is a Lava Flow-make a virgin pina coloda and add just a little bit of strawberry syrup
maybe find a friend who likes to make drinks to help you out with it so that your not stressing out while pregnant...
as far as food look at your grocery stores frozen area, there are so many easy appetizers and party-type foods that can just be popped into the microwave or oven and be ready, this is the easiest thing I can think of
good luck and have fun!
sand witch tray (egg salad, ham, roast beef, tuna)
cheese and crackers
pickles
fruit tray (grapes,strawberries,pineapple,)
chicken wings
tea,juice,milkshakes,pop,
salads (potato,pasta,fruit)
birthday cake
ice cream
