Valentine's day drinks and dinner suggestions?!

Question: I am going to cook a dinner and desert and make some cool drinks on Valentine's day to celebrate with my boyfriend. I have most of it figured out, but wanted to hear other peoples suggestions so I might be able to expand my selection or make changes! Any suggestions on side dishes and/or drinks to go with filet mignon.... Thank you!

I hope this helps you out with planning your meal. Good luck on a wonderful valentinesday with your boyfriend>

You can serve your Filet Migon along with these side dishes.

Satueed Green Beans and Cherry Tomatoes:
teaspoons extra-virgin olive oil, divided
1 pound green beans, trimmed
1/2 cup water
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 1/2 cups halved cherry tomatoes
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
Salt & freshly ground pepper to taste

Heat 1 teaspoon oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add green beans and cook, stirring often, until seared in spots, 2 to 3 minutes. Add water, cover, reduce heat to medium and cook, stirring occasionally, about 3 minutes for tender-crisp or 6 minutes for tender. Push the beans to the side; add the remaining 1 teaspoon oil and garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add tomatoes, stir everything together and cook until the tomatoes begin to break down, 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in vinegar, salt and pepper.

Sweet Potato Fries
3 medium sweet potatoes (about 1 lb), peeled and cut into 2-inch-long wedges
1 tbsp canola oil

Heat oven to 450°. Brush potatoes with oil and lay out on a cookie sheet (covered with foil for easy cleanup). Season potatoes with a dash of salt. Bake until golden brown and tender, 12 to 15 minutes. Serve warm.

Asparagus and Red Pepper
2 cups prepared roasted red peppers packed in water, cut into 1/4-inch strips
2 tbsp red or white wine vinegar
1 tbsp Dijon mustard
2 tbsp chopped fresh tarragon or 1/2 tsp dried tarragon
Freshly ground black pepper
1 lb asparagus (about 16 medium-length stalks), ends trimmed

Puree 1/2 cup of the pepper strips with vinegar and mustard in a food processor until smooth. Add tarragon and season with black pepper. Toss 1/4 cup of the dressing with the remaining 1 1/2 cups pepper strips. Set aside peppers and dressing. Steam asparagus 3 to 5 minutes, depending on desired level of crispness. Serve asparagus warm, topped with remaining peppers and drizzled with dressing.

Garlic mashed potatoes:
8 potatoes, peeled and quartered
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
salt to taste
1 pinch ground white pepper
2 tablespoons sesame seeds

Bring a large pot of water to boil; add potatoes, and boil until soft, about 20 to 25 minutes. Drain, and place in a large bowl.
Combine potatoes with milk, butter, garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix with an electric mixer or potato masher to your desired consistency. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.

I am going to do chocolate fondue for dessert- then have some whip cream and strawberries, cake, and cookies to dip in it.
Steak sounds great! I would say something simple to go along- baked potato, steamed veggies, salad.
Champagne for drinks or some great wine? Easy chocolate martini:
-1 shot Vanilla Vodka
-1 shot Cream de Cacao
-1 shot Half and Half
-Rim glass with sugar and cinnamon
-Drizzle chocolate on bottom of glass

Good luck!

OK, forget all your plans! I have something way better!

OK, what you want to do it get some sperm and cook it with some chopped genitalia for 8-16 minutes. It can be a male or females genitalia. Now after cooking it...you have made sperm and genitalia soup.

Another option is fried chicken with chopped genitalia on top of it as a garnish!

For desert...I recommend baked male genitalia on a stick. It makes a great desert if you put jelly on it. You can also put sugar on it!

If you want to use finger foods before dinner, you go and buy some chopped genitalia and soak it in computer urin and then fry it.

I hope that you enjoy it!
