First date - dinner at my place. Keeping it caz but want to impress. Any ideas food wise?!

Question: Whatever you do, make sure its something you've cooked before and can have pre-prepared. There is nothing worse than your date having to sit around waiting for you while you cook, or (worse) flopping the exotic dish you were trying.
Something that has always worked well for me is cheese, biscuits and wine.

This chicken is so good:

Chicken in a Pocket

chicken breast (pounded out just enough to make it even thickness)
melted butter
bread crumbs
American cheese

Rip aluminum foil into squares big enough to fit each single chicken breast (and be able to fold it into a closed Pocket); spray the foil with non-stick spray.

Dip chicken into melted butter; coat with bread crumbs and place onto each piece of foil.

Place a piece of cheese over the chicken and fold the foil into a (closed) pocket.

Place in a baking dish and bake at 350o for approximately 45 minutes.

pasta, salad, soup, lobster, shrimp, or something that makes her think she is important and not something like macaroni or chicken tenders
