Here are some ideas:

1. Deviled eggs
2. Carrots and Celery with Ranch dressing
3. Lil Smokies or hot dog chunks in barbecue sauce
4. Spinach Dip in a bread bowl
5. Mini Meatballs in marinara sauce in a bread loaf
6. French bread loaf spread with cream cheese, olives, deli ham, turkey, provolone, pickles, and lettuce and sliced into 1 inch pieces.
7. Cheese platter (go to Trader Joes!) with crisp globe grapes, artisan crackers etc.

hot wings are pretty inexpensive

Vegatable platter with dip. Crackers. pretzels, salsa and chips.

Ritz sandwiches, with little bologna slices and cheddar maybe with olives in em too.

Sausage Rolls.
Flaky or Short Pastry.
450 g tube of Sausage Meat.
Diced Onion.
Mix sausage meat and onion with about ? cup of water.

Take one sheet of pastry and lay on the filling in the centre third.
Fold one side over and brush the other with water and press on top.
Turn over and cut into rolls 3’’ long or cut into 3 or 4.
Make 3 cuts on top of each roll and place on an ungreased baking sheet.
Brush with milk and bake about 30 minutes at 215C (425F), in a pre-heated oven.

Cheese Rolls.
Spread sandwich bread with butter or margarine and sprinkle with grated tasty cheese and fold into 3.
Place under a heated grill, and toast turning when the first side is done. Spread with butter on the top and serve.
Options; add some spring onions, chives or garlic chives, spread bread with butter and vegemite, or make with cold mince.
Options; To toast, use a sandwich press, George Foreman Grill etc.

You can also make pinwheel sandwiches - use the same ingredients you would in your sandwich squares, along with a little cream cheese or mayo on a flour tortilla shell (burrito size or larger) and roll up. Wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for a couple hours, remove wrap and slice about 1" thick. You may want to avoid using tomatoes or anything else juicy, as that will make them soggy, but you can be creative with fillings, like using lunch meats, various cheeses, lettuce or sprouts, flavored cream cheeses or even chip dips, flavored mayos, mustards, even PB&J.

cake, cake is good you can make it yourself and make as much of it as you want and everyone likes cake. i know that was a really random answer but it would be good. everything is better witha slice of cake

You can pick up tortilla chips pretty cheap if you look around, some store own cheapers versions are just as good. If you fancy making something my vegatable cous cous always goes down well, finely chop, onion, pepper, mushrooms and courghette, garlic lightly fry of add to cooked cous cous with olive oil and lemon juice. Or maybe make a quiche, find a reciepe you like online and save money buy making your own pastry. hope this helps

Pigs in a blanket, little pimento sandwiches, taco dip, ham roll-ups, chocolate dipped pretzels.

mix nuts, cheese bites, olives(green & black),cut up cold cuts in differents shapes(triangle, circles, folded on colored tooth picks, gingerale fruit punch, chicken wings, cheese cake squares, meat balls, broclic, carrotts, green onions, rotel dip, chips, pink lemonaid.& they dont like it to heck with them--Oh yeah throw in some radishes & small tomatoes, maybe some pine apple out ot the can, maybe some cheap cavair in nice exspensive looking( this doesn't cost much but they will not know it but they will probabley be impressed) dishLet me know how it turns out..

I made some microwave caramel corn for the super bowl. It was really inexpensive and was a big hit.

depends what kind of party, adults or kids;
just a suggestion: olives, nuts, crackers and somekind of spread, and veggies with a dip are classy and not too expensive for an adult party.

for kids, pband j pinwheels, cheese cubes,

my favorite is homemade chex mix ( it is on the back of most chex cereal boxes)

also you know those lil hotdogs in the rolls those are cute and yummy lol

Snack foods will go a long way. Make a veggie tray with some dip (premade ones at a store will cost more, just cut up the stuff yourself), pretzels, the chips and dip and sandwiches you mentioned, maybe some little bite size pastry or cake as well, and you should be good to go.

those frozen 2 for £3 at tescos
