Casino style birthday party?!

Question: My husband just lost his job and his birthday is in two weeks, so of course he is uber-excited about his birthday coming up. I'm trying to still give him a good birthday on a very limited budget. He wanted to go to a Casino, so I was thinking of turning the apt into one, with our poker set, but what else? Food, decor, game ideas?

here are a bunch of ideas others have done http://www.adultpartyideas.com/html/casi...

well a great idea for deco would be to have a net on the ceiling and fill it with fake money and when everyone is dancing have someone to let the net go and the then everyone can use the fake money to play poker or maybe buy a roulette machine? i would also add alot of glitzy glam to the deco because casinos always reminds me of rich people and rich people have diamonds so add diamontes to everything? as for food a buffet would probably be best? have a waiter serving champagne, it gives your theme some class and have everyone dress in formal wear. have a great time! another thing that you might want is a bubble machine?

I am throwing my husband a casino party too - one thing we are doing is getting giant playing cards and hanging them on string around everyone's neck. We have just enough people to give out a whole deck of cards. Then the ice breaker for the night is going to be a great game - I will call out 'full house' or 'royal flush', and the guests will all have to find others that make that set. It will be chaotic and fun. We are also having 'Casino Royale' trivia, and you can buy 'casino' party products on the internet. We found a supplier that does casino nights in our area too, so that was great. Good luck and have fun!
