Any ideas for a monkey-themed baby shower?!

Question: We are throwing a shower in a little over a month with a monkey-theme. Any ideas on decor, food, games, favors that would fit the theme? The invitation has a baby monkey swinging from a vine.

the decor you can have in jungle style.. lots of plants, some vines.. a lot of green...
the food could be a banana bread, tamales wrapped in banana leaf, fruit cocktails, fruit punch, banana smoothies.. try a tropical style food
the games could be the best monkey sounding person or impersonation.. give out monkey prints in black and white and have people decorate them...
find the monkey.. like a scavenger hunt type of game
the favors could be some of those chocolate lollipops shaped like a monkey.. or a gift bag with lots of tropical stuff or a little plant in a pot with a plastic toy monkey attached to it...

have fun..!!!!

I always think bananas when I think of monkeys so maybe you could have a banana punch. I think you can buy the runt's candy that is shaped like fruits and bananas too and decorate with it somehow. You could do a trivia game with famous monkeys on tv.

Not really but I went to my cousin's baby shower about a month ago and they took the picture of the sonagram and put them on gift bags. I had never seen that done before and I really thought it was cute.

games - my mom throws a lot of baby showers, and they have a game where you have to dress the teddy bear up in a cloth diaper and pin it. you could do that except with a monkey stuffed animal, you could also play pin the tail on the monkey

favors - little monkey stuffed animals, they make the diaper safety pins with the ends that are plastic, i've seen ducks and other animals, perhaps they have monkies, boxes of animal cookies to take home, miniature barrels of monkies, etc...

decorations-Decorate your party with multi-hued green streamers. Palm tree cutouts can be found at party supply stores or online. Hang plush monkeys and plush or real bananas around the palm trees. Tie brown raffia table skirts around your tables.

food- you could get a chocolate dip, or rent a chocolate fountain, and have bananas, animal crackers, and other finger foods to dip into it, banana splits, monkey cupcakes :

hope this helps

I can't picture all of it, I but I will add my two cents to your theme. Buy a couple of yards of that brown "fuzzy" material at a craft store and lay it on your table, then drape those green silk vines and lay them over your table. Maybe you can add some fake plastic bananas. Oriental Trading is a wonderful website for themed parties and you might also find a ton of stuff to decorate with. Good luck and love the theme!

Throw poop all over the walls, that's what monkeys do.

That sounds really adorable!
I think to eat, you could make/buy some monkey bread, and/or some bannana smoothie or bannana nut bread.
For favors, I am not sure what they have, in dollar stores and party stores it always changes, but you may look there, they could have something.
For games, see who can shove the most bannana in their mouth at once.
I dont have many ideas, but it sounds really cute.
Good luck.
