Freeze dipped ice cream - best way to store?!

Question: Having birthday party. Need to make ice cream scoops ahead and freeze so we can just plot them on the plate. Is there any reason not to just put them on Aluminum foil and cover with plastic in the freezer. Will Aluminum foil color or taint the ice cream?

Depending how many you might want to line a muffin pan with plastic and the drop a scoop in each cup. Then cover with plastic to keep from drying\picking up flavors.
