Party favours for 13/14 year old boys?!

Question: My son is having a first birthday party, to which we are inviting about 50 of our closest friends and family members. While I have picked out goodie bags for the kids, I'm not sure what kind of favours would be appropriate for teenage boys (mostly cousins) of around 13/14 years of age? I don't have a huge budget so some cost effective ideas will be great!

As the mother of two sons, I would tell you to stay away from goofy little toys. Boys at this age are desperately trying to be grown ups. Since they want to view themselves as men, what about practical little items? Nice pens, mechanical pencils, travel or trial size personal hygene items (they love that Axe stuff at this age), energy/sports bars and drinks, cheap little electronics like calculators, watches, and video games. Sounds a little corny but, they'll like that kind of stuff a lot better than balloons and matchbox cars.

If they're into sport, you can pack in some tennis balls or bouncy balls. Also- toy cars, or gimmicky things like small model planes (you can get the real gimmicky stuff from certain novelty stores).
The best things for teenage boys are things they can build, or throw around, or fiddle with, like gadgets.

UGH.
give them anything except things that would practically knock the wind out of parents.
believe me.
i'm a girl
and they drive me NUTS!
13/14
but if you really want to buy cheap things,
try something like the small building airplanes.
or something
but buying party favors for girls are much more easier.
especially for my 12/13 year cousins

Water guns seem to do the trick

One large chocolate bar, like king size CRUNCH, I did this at my daughter`s birthday and it was a huge hit, and less expensive than putting together a favor bag.
