Have you sacrificed anything recently?!
Answers: we are all aware that the cost of living and fuel has rocketed recently but have you had to give something a miss or are you scared of spending money on things you used to buy but no longer don't.
My will to survive.
Especially in this decaying country (uk)
YES i SACRIFICED 2 YOUNG CHILDREN AND A GOAT JUST YESTERDAY.
Oh, well in that case.. outing, going out to dinner, movies, dvd rentals, shopping, good food (even home cooked), traveling. My life really sux now! :(
Chicken for supper last night.
My son Isaac, on a mountain-top, because God told me to.
I don't know if it is necessarily "sacrificing" but I do know that I am very conscience of where I spend money and how much I save. I am trying to go back to graduate school and that is definitely putting more on my mind. Hopefully the economy starts improving this year.
I think the one thing in life we can truly enjoy is our food so I haven't given up on buying what pleases my family, which I feel is important.
Don't go out for many meals, careful about the use of gas for the car, lowered the furnace a notch and am cautious about the use of hydro. No more lights or tv's left on unnecessarily anymore but that's a good thing.
I use fewer paper towels- and instead have turned old wash cloths and towels into cleaning cloths. They take up very little space in the laundry, and you rarely use just one paper towel!
I buy bigger bags of snacks, instead of snack packs, and use zip lock bags to make individual portions- alot cheaper.
When I eat out at fast food places, and they give ketchup or mustard or other condiment packets, I take them home if I don't use them. I live alone, so it doesn't pay to buy jars of stuff I rarely use and the smallest sizes are the priciest per ounce.
I personally don't eat out and haven't bought new clothes in almost a year- I'm a girl so this kills me! all in all I don't feel too hard done by, I still have brand name shampoo, and a decent car, I just wish buying a home was less like buying a coffin! (as in we'd be paying it off til we die because of high prices)
