What should I fix for dinner tomorrow night? I keep running out of ideas.?!
Answers: It is for my husband & toddler son. (It needs to be quick & easy b/c I don't have much time & I'm not a great cook.) Thanks!!
I think this one is EASY and simple and the house smells great when its baking
Easy Italian Baked Chicken:
2 boneless skinless chicken breast halves
1 tablespoon butter
2 tablespoons v 8 vegetable juice or tomato juice
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
salt and pepper
1/2-3/4 cup mozzarella cheese, grated (optional)
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Liberally salt and pepper BOTH sides of the chicken breast halves.
Arrange chicken pieces in a glass baking dish just big enough to hold them without the pieces touching each other or the sides of the dish.
In a microwave-safe measuring cup or bowl, heat butter and V-8 just enough for the butter to melt. (About 20 seconds on high).
Stir in garlic powder, basil and oregano, crushing the dried herbs with your fingers as you add them to release more flavor.
Pour butter-juice-herb mixture over the chicken, turning the chicken as necessary for complete coverage.
Bake, uncovered, for 25 minutes.
If using the mozzarella, sprinkle it evenly over the chicken AFTER removing from the oven.
Tent loosely with foil to melt the cheese and keep warm until serving.
Baked Ziti
Cook ziti noodles according to package directions. Drain well. Mix in a covered baking dish the ziti, a jar of spaghetti sauce, half a large package of grated mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle the rest on top. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
or else get a whole roasting chicken and put in in a baking pan. Cut up potatoes and carrots and put them around the chicken. Bake at 350 for 1 1/4 hours. It is delicious and very easy
This is what we're having tonight, and it's what my husband used to feed his young kids.
2 cans of tuna in oil, drained
2 cans cream of mushroom soup
3/4 soup can milk
1/3 pound Velveeta, cubed
Mix all that together and heat until hot and the cheese has melted. Then add a handful of frozen peas and some pepper and garlic powder. Heat through. Serve over toast.
It looks gross, but it's strangely good.
