jelly bracelets, legwarmers, long shirts and leggings, 80's music, break dancing contests, decorate using neon colors, put posters of 80's bands everywhere (cyndi lauper, NKOTB, Wham, Madonna, etc). leave rubiks cubes around for people to play with.

1800's Western Theme
cowboys, saloons, poker, think "little house on the prairie" for costumes
think of the wild west and decorate using sheriff badges, cowboy boots, bales of hay, wanted posters, etc.

i love the 80's party idea. there are tons of stuff out right now that can be worn to an 80's party....like leggings, off the shoulder shirts, etc. 80's music is pretty easy to obtain....think madonna, fame, etc.
