Slumber party food question!!!?!

Question: My friends and I are having a slumber party. There will be around 10 girls. What food should we have? We're already getting pizza but what snacks should we buy? Also, what is the appropriate amount of snacks to buy and roughly how much will food cost?

We're 13 years old.

We're 13 years old.

When my friends and I were young we loved to have chips, dip and some type of sweets (brownies, cookies, ice cream::my parents made us sudaes once). For dips we really liked queso and tortilla chips (cheese dip)::: Velveeta, 1 can of rotel heated up in a regular pot or crock pot=crock pot is best and ranch dip w/ potato chips.

Cost was not too bad:: The pizza is usually the priciest part. I would say about $100.

A couple of bags of chips, sodas, some microwave popcorn, and of course, brownies. Unless you prefer some chocolate chip cookies. Chocolate is required at a slumber party.

- Make a 7 layer dip with chips
It's a great midnight snack

How to make layer the following ingredients
- Refried beans
- Sour Cream (mix with taco mix seasoning)
- Guacamole
- Salsa
- Shredded Cheese
- Black Olives
- Tomatos (diced)

Some other ideas are
Veggies with ranch dip (sour cream mixed with ranch dressing seasoning)

Homemade cookies
Chips & salsa
Chips
Pretzal Chips (so good!)
Some sweets like candy or chocolate

You can probably spend $30 and have more than enough food.

ohkay well you should buy popcorn and ships and soda also buy ice cream and maybe make ice cream sundaes (have fun!)

1 candy what ever you like 3 bags 7$
2chips and dip 1 family size of each 6$
3soda 2 12 pakes of what ever5$ or 3 bottles 4$
4popcorn box 4$
here are a few of my favorites

microwaveable popcorns, some low fat chips or maybe some salsa, low fat chocolate bars, cookies, sodas or some caffeine like latte or cappuccino, candies, and whatever they like. This might cost u around 30-40 bucks depending what kind of brand it is and if its on sale.

chips & dips, ( a mixed box of 24 bags of chips should offer enough choices) candy. popcorn if you'll be watching movies. some veggies and dip for health sake and after awhile junk food demands some real nutrition. try some upscale drinks like chai tea instead of just sodas or perhaps an iced tea and lemonade bar with flavored syrups like peach and raspberry. Or go for it and have an ice cream sundae bar with fun toppings! You don't have to put everything out at once since your party lasts for hours. Consider putting out some snacks when they arrive, then having pizza. A little while later having a dessert item. Followed up by snacks in your sleeping room. Plus you have to feed them all breakfast. I'd go for a "Continental" breakfast with juices, fruits, pastrys like bagels and muffins with some cream cheese and butter

you can use this as something the girls can do when they get there. Go to the store and get some fresh fruits like apples, bananas, pears, strawberries, grapes, star fruit, kiwi, berries, etc... and get a few of those little tubs of melting chocolate, and a couple large tub of vanilla yogurt, and maybe some pound cake or some plain cookies, and some skewers, or long tooth picks, and have a dipping party with your snacks. This is where the girls come in, you guys slice the fruit up, chunk up the pound cake, put the yogurt in a couple of little bowls, and follow the instructions on melting the chocolate in the microwave ('cause if you don't you'll end up with hard chocolate, and it will not melt again) and have fun dipping and eating. oh but make sure you have plenty of napkins, and maybe make everyone use a little paper plate under their food while they are dipping because it WILL be messy.
You could also go for veggies and bread sticks/pretzels with some veggie/chip dips.
as for how much to get... you are growing girls, so I would expect y'all to eat a lot, that doesn't mean you are pigs, just means you are normal, lol. so maybe get at least half an apple, banana, pear, and a couple strawberries, a hand full of grapes, half a kiwi, and a hand full of berries for each girl. about 3 or 4 of those microwave chocolate tubs, depending on what kind you get, and if you get the large tubs of yogurt, get about 3 or 4 of those also, 'cause you can always use yogurt, even after the party, if you have left overs.
I don't know how much it will cost, but I would figure about $5 or so per girl?

Get white and choc cake mix and ingredients needed(check box eggs etc.)
Get 2 creamcheese frostings & 1 choc
Ask your parents for food coloring- if you don't have, buy.
You will make 3 different colored frostings out of the creamcheese flavor. get 3 small bowls. choose 3 colors, something to match your theme-napkins, plates, cups, party favors etc.)
you will need colored sprinkles-be sure they match your chosen frosting colors.
You will put small dab of frosting on the cupcakes(be sure they are fully cooled before putting the frosting on. sprikle a small amount of the matching color sprinkles. Not too much.
These will look amazing like martha stewart. Display them on a square platter in rows- all colors insinc. I just did this for Valentines party-wow. I did light yellow, pink, white and choc frostings-too cool. Everyone loved them. But I did a lemon and choc not white kind. But you can do whatever kind u like.
Also-
Divide m&m or skittles candies by color. buy small dollarstore bowls(pref white or black will do in color) and put the candies in the dishes. You can have them around the room for friends to snack and it looks cool without much effort.
