3 year old birthday party?!
Answers: I am going to have a pirate birthday party for my son. Anyone have any new and creative ideas?
Have a pirate treasure hunt. Especially great if you have a sandbox. Get some of those little gold foil wrapped chocolate coins, and maybe lots of little trinkets, like army men or superballs and spray paint them gold. Bury them in the sand or around the yard or house and let the kids go hunting for gold.
Get some halloween makeup and paint pirate mustaches and scars on the kids' faces and take lots of pictures
make two cakes then have one that he can just have and dig his face into then have one for the guests ;)
emmm... how about a really cool layered cake with LOTS of colors and little figurines of ALL his favorite characters on it (that way he can have a bunch of action figures afterward, and he'll be too busy messing with them to screw up the actual cake
for entertainment.. how about a scavenger hunt for all the kids and the adults too....
i hosted a party like this before (it was a peter pan theme) we had eye patches for all the kids as they arrive (made out of fabric) and had games and the prizes were pirate swords (from the .99 c store)
the centerpieces were wooden pirate ships (i got them cheap on bulk at a local store)
the invites were a map of my neighborhood drawn as islands and the streets as the water and x marking the spot of the party.. with the edges burned as to look as an old map.. and sealed with red wax and i got a metal stamp of the initial of the bday boy to mark the wax
also i got some old cigar boxes from different restaurants (for free) and painted them as treasure chests and filled them up with mardi gras bracelets and necklaces and candy rings and chocolate coins and other shiny stuff.. all for prices
i got a lot of stuff at orientaltrading.com
the goodie bags were bags of gold.. inside with chocolate coins and a toy pirate ship and other cool stuff..
hope this helps...
good luck..
