famous couples throughout history!

why not do fancy dress that adds the laugh factor aswell.

Dancing with the stars (everyone can dress up as their favorite star)

Dance contest, (put numbers on everyone's back and whoever stays on the floor longest without taking a break wins)

I was going to say Disco or 50's, etc...etc... but if the music is modern........can't really do that.

Make it like Hollywood Theme. Like make your friends as their favorite Hollywood star and do what ever that suits you and the theme!

formal, a holiday that's near by (valentine's day), uh you can pick a certain color to have every one wear

black and white

Our local Leon's Furniture store is having a Hawaiian Luau. They have the place all decorated up with limbo stick contests, a drink hut and everyone is wearing lays. That would be a cool theme for a party at your age. There has got to be crazy floral (Hawaiian) shirts at your local Value Village store for everyone to wear. You can get the umbrellas for everyones drink at the Dollar store too.

If you're playing modern music you could have a Birthday party Rave and everyone could dress up in wacky outfits and you could have a prize for the best outfit. Most kids your age would have the clothes already in their wardrobe so they could have fun putting together their costume

If you want to switch your music, you could have an 80's prom party. Go to your favorite vintage clothing store and pick out an awesome dress. Most even have men's old skool suits. Think ruffles!!!

Beach Party, with Beach Balls and The Beach Boys! Especially if you are somewhere where it is cold and snowy, it would be fun to wear shorts and bathing suits in the winter.

retro, 60's, 80's, black & white, formal... have fun.

An 80's dance party would be cool.

You could use streamers in bright colors like lime, pink, yellow, and electric blue.
Ask your invitees to dress up in 80's theme clothes. Think like Madonna and Rick Springfieldn type dress (For Girls: bright leggings, boat neck tops, pony tails. For Boys: Band tees, Chucks, skinny jeans)
Music could be something like of top hits from the 80's: Pat Benatar, Eurythmics, Roxette, and Blondie.

Check stores like Party America or Oriental Trading they should have some dance themed supplies that you could use.
