If people are going to be eating and moving around rather than a sit down dinner, do lots of finger foods. Make pinwheels by using different flavor of tortillas and filling them with cream cheese and various deli meats and veggie, roll up and slice them up.
You can do mini croissants with deli meat and cheese or make a chicken salad.
Veggies and dips and fruit and dip, of course.
IN the freezer section of your store you'll find mini tort shells, I think by Pepperidge Farm you can fill them with savory or sweet fillings, very easy finger food.
Do a layered taco dip by spreading cream cheese, re-fried beans or taco meat, layering lettuce, tomatoes, onions and black olives on a big platter and serve with chips.
Or do a shrimp dip with crackers, layer cream cheese, a jar of seafood or chili sauce and a drained can of mini shrimp on a big platter.
Cheese and crackers, using a variety of both are easy.
Stuffed mushrooms are always good, but serving hot food like that may take away from your enjoyment.

Have you considered doing a couple of fondue pots, one with cheese one with chocolate and having a variety of dipping items available?

Do what ever you know best. Maybe you could go to Costco or sams club they have Frozen things that are easy and not expensive. Pigs in a blanket, Egg rolls stuff thats easy and cheap.

Plain and simple : finger foods. That way you do not have to worry about
more details like seating arragements and so forth. You need to be able
to mingle around and Thank everyone for taking time to attend. I hope the
event is a sucess. And everyone enjoys themselves....

i wld serve finger foods and make it both creative and interesting by puting them in different colours and by a variety of shapes u no the eyes eat firstly i wld advise some sme pinwheels and barque chicken wings and sme thing easy
