New Years Eve Theme Party for a Hotel?!

Question: I work for a large hotel as a Catering Manager and every year we have a themed New Years Eve Party. Some past themes include New Years in New York, New Orleans Style, and New Years Eve from Coast to Coast (Hollywood vs New York). I don't want some Under the Sea theme, I am looking for something more elegant. We do the whole Shabang with Props and Food. Please give me some ideas for this years party. Include Links if any with Centerpieces and other ideas

What about New Years all over the world? It might take some studying, but different corners of the room could be a different state or country.
Silver and metalic blue and gold are good colors for such a party. Either that or a "red carpet event".
Have Fun!!

Red Carpet? Black and White Formal?

Do like a MArie Antoinette party. Then its old school and people can wear cool costumes and it will be more elegant.
