We did a cupcake theme party for my friends 26th birthday and we decorated using vases filled with brightly colored candy, like gumballs, runts, and jawbreakers. We also passed out candy necklaces for the girls to wear. We found a cupcake runner to put out on the table. and we giant cupcake sprinkes as confetti. It turned out really really cute and she loved it. I can send you some pictures if you would like to see what all we did.

Here are a few finger food recipes that are always big hits at my parties. Try this recipe that is delicious beyond words and sooo easy.
Brown Sugar Fruit Dip:
1/2c firmly packed lt. brown sugar
1 8oz package softened cream cheese
1c sour cream
1tsp vanilla extract
1/3c coffee liqueur (opt - it's better w/o it)
1c frozen whipped topping, thawed (cool whip)
Beat br. sugar and cream cheese at med. speed w/ mixer until smooth. Add sour cream, vanilla, and if desired coffee liqueur, beating until blended smooth. Fold in whipped topping. Cover and chill 4 hours - I have made it the day before and its fine. When ready to serve sprinkle top with a little brown sugar for garnish.
I put a bowl of it in the center of a dish and surround it with green grapes and sprinkle in strawberries and pineapple chunks bowl is practically licked clean every time I serve it. And it is really pretty to serve as an added bonus.

Also this one is amazing and is a crowd pleaser - and easy. It will offer something a little more filling. The only thing I do differently is I dice the tomatoes so they are easier to eat and I use a package of Sorrento Mozz instead of the fresh. You can toast the bread slices ahead of time as well as slicing the cheese and dicing tomatoes. Then just assemble, bake and enjoy!

Baked Caprese Salad
courtesy Giada De Laurentiis
1 loaf baguette, cut into 1/2-inch thick slices (about 30 to 36 slices)
1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
5 Roma tomatoes, sliced
1 1/4 pounds fresh mozzarella, sliced
1 bunch fresh basil leaves, stemmed

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.
Arrange the sliced baguette bread on a baking sheet. Brush with some of the olive oil and sprinkle with salt. Bake until the bread is pale golden and crisp, about 5 minutes. Remove from the oven. Top each slice of bread with a slice of tomato and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Top each slice of tomato with a slice of mozzarella and sprinkle with salt. Return the baking sheet to the oven until the cheese and tomato are warmed, about 5 minutes.

Arrange the toasts on a serving platter. Top each toast with a basil leaf. Using the brush, drizzle the remaining olive oil over the basil. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, and serve.

The other one I can offer that doesn't last long - I use a cup of sour cream instead of mayo b/c I hate mayo and I serve it with Stacys Pita Chips:
Three Cheese Hot Artichoke Dip
recipe courtesy Paula Deen
1 (8 ounces) block cream cheese, softened
1 cup mayonnaise
1 (14 ounces) can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
2 green onions, sliced thin
1/2 cup grated Parmesan
1 cup shredded mozzarella
Dash hot sauce
Dash Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese with a hand held electric mixer until smooth. Then beat in the mayonnaise until smooth. Add remaining ingredients and stir together until combined. Transfer the dip to a pie plate or shallow gratin dish. Bake in a preheated oven for 30 to 40 minutes until the top is golden brown and the dip is bubbling. Serve hot with crackers, tortilla chips, crostini or veggies.

try a snack mix that includes white cheddar popcorn, m&m's, pretzels, and cheetos. I love that stuff!!

Do wraps!
Very easy to do, plus you can color them (orange with Tabasco for example).

Prepare wraps, put tootpicks every 1/2 inch, then cut betweem the toothpicks and you get nice and good fingerfood!

well this is exciting! there is so much you can do? first of all hire a hall in a hotel or smething?
as for drinks i would serve vodka or gin and add pink food colouring to it and there you have your pink drinks!!!

if your thinking about decoration a good idea would be to have large vases and put pink feathers inside and try to find some artificial pink roses to put in too. they would be very nice centre pieces.

a teme could be as simple as PINK? everone has to come dressed in pink (men and wome)? as for more deco add pink feather boa's hanging around the buffet table if you decide to have one? pink mettalic balloons, pink tealights and pink fairy lights if yu can et hold of them.

you could make pink iced cupcakes (with food colourig)? you can colour all you food with pink food colouring such as dye the chicken mayo sandwhiches pink, (just add a drop to the mayo)! you will also need a pink cake? maybe with a feather deco in the cenre of the cake?

just go wild with the pink but keep it classy? you don't want things to get tacky! hope i gave you some fab ideas? all the best with your party!!!

Corn Dog Muffins

1 package corn muffin mix, prepared as directed. One package hot dogs, sliced 1/4 inch thick.
Stir the hot dog slices into the batter, fill lined muffin pans 2/3 full, and bake as directed on the package.

LOOKS like a cupcake, but more substantial. They're always popular when I bring them.

You can also press a canned biscuit into each muffin cup, top with a spoonful of prepared taco meat, add shredded cheese, and a jalapeno or olive slice. Bake as directed.

fondue!

If her theme is cupcakes then I think it would be great to serve all your snacks in cupcake liners.

Ideas could include:
- Fruit salad topped with whipped cream
- pasta salad
- mixed nuts
- party mix

There are lots more things you can do. I am not sure what kind of food you want to serve...

Good luck!
