Teen murder mystery party?!

Question: Ok, so I'm hosting a murder mystery party soon. I've got the kit already, it's a teen friendly one called "Panic at the Prom". I've never thrown one before, so I'm unfamiliar with how they work. It came with character booklets and clues for each player. The planning guide told me to not read them, even though I'm the hostess. Should I read them anyway? How do I keep the party going sucessfully? Any other tips? Thanks!

Here are 2 sites that might give you a "clue" ;)

One thing, there is no alcohol is served at this party.

If the planning guide told you NOT TO, then gee...I would guess that NO, YOU SHOULD NOT READ THEM!! I am sure the planning guide gave you other info, like I would assume you want to have all your guests dress in old prom clothes, maybe serve some punch like they do at prom, and maybe some cake or something...they served that at my prom, anyway. I would also get some music that is relevent to your prom era. One thing you could do to make it MORE FUN, is have everyone dress as they would have dressed in the 70's and play 70's music.

But DON'T READ THE CLUES!! You won't have any fun at your own party if you do!!

I just wanted to say that sounds like one of the hottest ideas ever for a party lol now i kinda want to do that for my next birthday

i can't really offer any help but don't read them if you do you'll know everything and you wont' have any fun and might accidentally ruin it for someone else
