Would it be too much to invite like 30 people to have dinner with me at a restaurant for my birthday?!

Question: That's a lot of people and I want them all to be entertained and what not, not all of my friends are friends with my other friends if that makes sense. Lol. I have a ton of people I want to be with me on my birthday.

I had something like that done at a restaurant last year but I don't remember how many people came. My friends threw a dinner for me while we were Orlando with the band since I was away from home. That was so nice of them I didn't expect that at all. I still have the napkin that they signed for me. Lol.

As long as everyone can afford the place you choose, and you can get the reservations, why not? Have a real good time!

That is fine, just make sure that you make reservations at the restaurant. Better if they have a private dining area for large groups. But who will pick up the tab?

Steve is right...who is picking up the tab for this 30 + crowd? Restaurants are certainly not cheap; have you thought about drinks? Drinks alone will hike your bill up so high you won't see the end of it.

Have you ever thought about renting a small room and having everyone bring a little something? Maybe you could provide the music and some refreshments?

Just a thought.

Edit: In THAT case, since everyone will be paying for their tab, then go right ahead and make reservations. Happy Birthday.

just don't plan it on a friday or saturday night. most restaurants don't make reservations those nights. i had my birthday party at a really nice restaurant last year and i had 15 people. we waited 2 hours to be seated. not a happy party!

It is fine to invite 30 people and let them pay their own tab. People do that all the time. Soften the blow by picking buying a few bottles of wine or dessert, take care of the tip and tell then not to bring anything but their company. I think its fun to meet new people so don't worry that they don't all know each other.

it better be a big restaurant and have some money in your pocket for tips because teens plus more teens equals ahhh!! for workers ^^

have a wonderful b-day!!

Dont do it because you want everyone to think you have lots of friends, But if their all good friends i think thats a great idea!!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!! :)

Try a BBQ place that takes large groups. You did not specify which state you are from so i cant name a specific place or location.
