Ideas for an cheap Anniversary party?!

Question: what sounds fun for my parents 50TH

Answers: what sounds fun for my parents 50TH

A 50th anniversary is something to celebrate with great joy! Consider what your budget is and see if you can get other friends and family to kick in to help you out. Here are some ideas:

1. Rent a banquet room in your parent's favorite restaurant. Most restaurants have banquet menus and you can let folk know that dinner is a "no host" affair. Add flowers and candles to the tables and have a "money tree" designed to help pay for a special trip for two for the folks.
2. Consider having it poolside if you have access to one and the weather permits. Grilling london broil and chicken can help bring costs down and add side dishes to compliment. Have plenty of wine, beer, and soft drinks on hand and rent a DJ if you can.
3. Consider skipping the party and sending your folks away to a wonderful bed and breakfast for the weekend. Surprise them by having a basket sent to their room with gift certificates to local restaurants, champagne, chocolates, bubble bath etc.

Buy them some flowers(I think roses are the best) , buy them one of those mini-cakes, get a cheap balloon, and try getting some of their friends over.

Hmmmm. Why not do a renewal of vows ceremony for them? 50 years is phenominal!!! It doesn't have to be anything fancy, but you can throw a reception for them and at the reception have them renew their vows in front of everyone! You can send out invitations similar to a wedding invite, but YOU will be the one "requesting the honor of thier presence" and remember! you don't have to pay a officant to perform the ceremony because THEY ARE ALREADY MARRIED!!! You can have a dear close friend ofiicate the ceremony. That should be very fun! That is what I would recommend!! Children do this for their parents all the time. There are articles about it online too if you put "renewal of vows" in google. Have fun!

First the 50th shouldn't be cheap, they worked hard to get their, So think what will make them both happy..

Wow 50th? That seems like a big thing but if u want cheap I'd save up some money to go to a nice restraunt(not super fancy something like a golden corral restrant) and buy a small gift for them.

the place would make a difference in the quanity of things to do. for instance, if you are going to have a party at a home, for your parents, anothers home would be nice for them for its a evening away from their daily residence. Gather pictures from as far back as possible and either show them in several ways. One suggestion is in picture frames placed in various places around the home where your guest will be at. Have pictures of family, children, grandchildren, and friends. Places they visited and enjoyed the most. this could start up conversations throughout the evening. Depending if you are having lots of people, or just family, serve easy finger foods at first - that are their favorites this way you can be free to join others in conversations too. If planning a meal than choose perhapes two of their favorites and give a toast elaborating on how mom making of this piticular meal you choose to serve was one you enjoy mom making for you while growing up stood in your mind. Make them the focal piont of the whole day/evening. Have instant cameras in various locations marked with moms&dads 50th anniversary and tell others to snap freely. Think of a game to play that all can enjoy. Something related to them of course. Then at the end of the evening, be it small or large, hand out a photo that you previously selected and made a favor to hand out to your guest. Just because they are at there 50th anniversary doesn't mean they don't like to have a good time, just maybe they need to go and retire earlier. GOOD LUCK
I could elaborate on more but now it time for you to think of what would be a lasting memory for all.
