Here are some of the things my friends and I have done for our birthdays over the past few years:
-bar hopping in Hoboken (there are a ton of bars in a 1.5 mile radius) or the Village
-concert at Madison Square Garden or Continental Arena
-Broadway show (we went to see Wicked this year for my birthday and it was great)
-spa day at Bliss in NYC, followed by shopping in SoHo
-nice dinner in NYC (try Asia de Cuba, Koi, Tao)
