My friends surprise party!! Need help!?!

Question: for my friends 13th party we're doing her a luau, with 7 best friends and some others!

thing is, we need some fresh ideas on the cake, which is going to be cupcake towers, *designs needed, websites are good, and also ideas for flavours*

we also want to know what food to serve, because we cant cook a whole pig, or anything like that!
im on a little budget not much of one, but hey.

Thanks x

This is completely silly, but I can't resist.

Get pink paper cups. Draw two bold black dots on the bottom of each.

Every time someone takes a drink, it will look like he/she has a pig nose.

Food

Main Courses

Ham Steak and Fresh Pineapple on the Grill
Ham and Pineapple Pizza
Coconut encrusted grilled shrimp

Sides

Fresh grated coconut and orange fruit salad.
Fried plantains
(coconut halves make great serving dishes)
Sweet potato fries (or Yams)

Volcano theme would be good for the cake.

Look up any recipes with coconut and pineapple.

Go to a website like Oriental Trading, they usually have lots of fun luau themed things for pretty cheap.

Just do brightly colored flowers on the cupcakes to match the color of the leis you buy for party favors. Then order ham and pineapple pizza.

I would decorate the cupcakes with bright colored flowers (icing or fake ones). I would do some buffet items so that people can pick what they like to eat. You may not be able to cook a whole pig but how about pulled pork on buns. You can add fruit and vegetables for side dishes.Use whole pineapples and stick the cut fruit into them with tooth picks. Make a watermellon basket with melon balls in it. Make a big green mixed salad with some type of light dressing or a mixed fruit salad. Another option would be to bake a ham with pineapple slices on it and slice it for sandwiches. You can add side dishes such as baked beans, potato salad and slaw. You can serve ambrosia salad which has pineapple, marshmallows, coconut and oranges in it.

Why not try some pina colada pudding mix in your cupcakes, and bananna pudding. As the cupcakes cool, fill them with a baster in the center, cover with icing or pudding. Top with pineapple bits, cherries, and bananna pieces to indicate flavor.
If you have a cupcake holder, put two together by intertwining them, and add decorations of the theme.
Good luck with your party!

As for the food, a pork roast goes a long way...put one in a meatloaf pan, cover it with brown sugar, to taste, add pineapple juice, about a cup, cook till tender. Add some mashed sweet potatoes with the same ingredients, put this in a baking dish cover with pineapple slices, or chunks, bake @ 400 degrees for 15 mins. Have an adult slice the roast into serving sizes for each guest. Don't forget the biscuits. They fill you up. Think about the drinks...some 7 up and pineapple sherbert taste great together.

Have fun with your guests!

Maybe your friends can make some cobbobs, Like chicken cobbobs and for desert you could have fruit cobbobs?
