i currently work at chuck e cheese. and i have read alot of the answers to your question and alot of people are saying chuck e cheese is there to make proffit and that they dont care about you at all. well first things first....isnt EVERY business trying to make a proffit, i mean honestly you people are being ridiculous. other wise why would you have a business....just to give things out to people for free and then make no money at the end of the day.....yeh right. and as for "they dont care about you" that is NOT true. i work there and every time we have a complaint the managers yell at us and make us watch a HORRIBLE video on how to do better overall, even if the complaint wasnt your mistake......you still have to watch the video. then we have a lecture on how customer satisfaction is the most important thing of all. so maybe your host was doing a bad job dont blame it on the store. and also put yourself in there shoes they have a ton of parties they have to take care of plus all the other people that are there for fun and alot more, plust there side job (serving pizzas, keeping place clean, ect)!
and believe me doing a party is no easy job, i am a birthday coordinater and have been working there for about 7 months and i have to do 6-7 parties every day and it is STRESSFULL, its no easy task, because we here at chuck e cheese realize that a birthday is a once a year thing and that it is suppose to be memorable, so we do our best. maybe it was just your host that screwed things up, and if you go and complain to a manager about how bad the party was they WILL give you a complete refund, happens at my store quite a bit.
and if i came off mean at all......im sorry, it just gets frustrating when people dont realize that all jobs are hard and that people try there best. i mean honestly, how long do you think you could last working there?
I spent money to get burnt pizza
It sounds like you are a big complainer to me, and I'm not sorry that you will probably rate this poorly. Get over yourself...I mean was only a few minutes...and if they had more room/time, they would go out of business and you wouldn't have had any Mouse at all.
I have 3 boys and we always had a torturous time there. You just know the place is there for profit and they don't really care what kind of time your kids have. I agree, the prices are astronomical for what you get. You can't even feed a family of five for under $50. Then there are the prices of the games, whining kids everywhere, there's never enough to please any child in a place like that. Also, our kids would play in those plastic balls and always end up sick. I made sure I took my kids there a few times when they were small, but I said "no" SO many times because it just wasn't worth it. I didn't feel like I was cheating my kids, because it really isn't that fabulous. Now my kids see the place and say "YUCK!" They're older, but they know it's just not all cracked up to be what the corporation would like us to believe it is. And, I'd like to add, EVERY single time I went there, I left with a horrible headache!!!
You get what you pay for; next time stay home, order GOOD Pizza and you be in charge of the time and activities. It takes work to throw a good party and if you leave it to someone else you'll be disappointed. They are there to make money not celebrate with you!
My mother always hated those places. As a kid, I didn't really get why. Then my sister had a party there for my niece's birthday when she was 2 or 3. It was horrible. It was an experience a lot like yours. Her kids, and her brother-in-law's family plus my husband and me, my sister, and my parents. Everything there is to make money for them and the overpriced pizza is disgusting.
Hopefully you tried to keep a positive attitude for the kids. Just consider it a learning experience and don't go back.
