Answers: Any ideas what food I should make for the buffet.
CAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's why mums go to iceland!
cakes, choclate fountain lotsssssss of booooze
Space brownies
Big bowls of Haribo and marshmellows - I guartentee you'll have no leftovers!!
i like good old kiddies party food like sauage rolls, cold pizza, chicken nuggetts, egg mayo rolls , cocktail sauages you get the drift.
if you want something a bit more grown up try chicken satay, cheese straws, mini spring rolls, crab claws, quiche. tesco, asda, sainsburys, iceland and marks and sparks all do some great party food.
If it is fairly casual -
things such as sausage rolls, crisps, dips, garlic bread, fresh baguette, mini pizzas, mini sausages, slices of cheese/ham, fruit salad or a bowl of melon, chicken nuggest/gougons, cheese wrapped in bacon....
then for sweet things...
chocolate fingers, fairy cakes, jaffa cakes, mini rolls...etc
Pasta's hold up well in a buffet, add sausages or meatballs to the sauce. If you want a meat entree chicken does the job. You can have baked potatoes, wrapped in foil they stay hot for a very long time. Also, baked beans, kielbasa, mini meatballs are good additions. Salads, breads, beverages and a dessert like brownies. Enjoy the party!
Sausage rolls, chicken nuggetts, chicken drumsticks, cocktail sausages, vol au vents, scotch eggs, pork pie, salad, pasta salad, potato salad, garlic bread, cut up bagettes, meat platter, egg quarters, coleslaw, crisps, cheese and pineapple, quiche.
That is pretty much what I did when I did a buffet for 150. It was easier as most of it you buy from frozen and just whack in the oven or cut up at the party.
Sandwiches, sausage rolls, pork pies, chicken wings, chicken drumsticks, Maybe curry?, sausage cheese and pinapple on a stick, pasta etc
you could make gumbo, hot dogs, and barbecue.
