Help on Table Setting?!


Question: I am organising a big dinner party and the theme is England/Britain.I would like to get some help about the table setting.I don't really want to spend a lot of money on it and on table consist of 10 guest sitting.

I just did my first thanksgiving dinner last year AND it was a success!

Well, for starters ...
The table should have a definately have a centerpiece that performs a solely decorative function..
However, at a formal dinner in Europe, the centerpiece may be huge and, including candles, may extend the full length of the table. Centerpieces should be of low height, so as not to obstruct visibility of diners' faces

Placement is also very important

As far as decorations and such..
You can find inexpensive accessories at your local craft and gift shops.

Consult a British book on etiquette. Mosy of them have a chapter on table manners, including table setting.
It is not as complicated as you appear to think.
