Roast a turkey or a couple of chickens. Serve with mashies and gravy, green beans almondine and homemade yeast rolls. It's a delicious, family gathering type meal that adults and children love. It warms your soul and brings back happy memories! If you want to go all out, you can have prime rib roast, twice baked potatoes, garlic green beans and rolls. You can do some special appetizers that are impressive like crab wontons and fondue. The kids will love little smokies in a blanket as an appetizer. For dessert a chocolate cheesecake is sure to please! Try to have most of the prep work done ahead of time so you'll have time to visit instead of being stuck in the kitchen. Enjoy having your family together! Good Luck!

Different kinds of Lasagna with garden salads, crunchy Italian bread and wine or make it a Pizza evening. The kids surely would be happy.

Are you in winter or summer where you are. Go finger food for kids... pizza's, savouries, things they can choose themselves but that they will choose. Give them paper plates and cool serviettes. Maybe think of something for them to do also like a DVD or playstation????
And have an easy to prepare meal that can wait in the oven, sheppards pie and a fresh salad? Or lasagne and a salad.
If its summer - go the BBQ option...

How about a crown rack of lamb? It's really easy to make and looks beautiful on the table. Also you could do a paella. Again, really beautiful and lots of protein choices for all the picky kids. Whatever you make have a pack of hot dogs on hand for those who don't eat anything.

NO SORRY

Pizza topped with lots of a variety of fruit!

kill yourself, now. There is no way you can impress them
